We booked a unit and the prices were very competitive and the staff was out of sight but when needed were immediately available... story: 2 weeks after booking #218 for the 10 days ... I Awoke bolt upright in bed realizing it was a second story apartment and an additional staircase to the masters suite... in a panic I called Mgr. Bree and explained my wife’s handicap problem and Inability to climb stairs... she took the problem in stride and rotated us to a ground level smaller unit but for the same price and saved us the problem! That’s service!! Clean, fully furnished and when we left no need to clean it out as staff took care of it. Drawback? The street noise was present in the morning but other than that it was a great getaway for us! 4 out of 5 stars!! Wonderful views of the Pacific west coast of Maui and neighboring islands Molokai and Lanai!! Restaurants are legends and for yacht clubers, do NOT miss the reciprocal hospitality of Lahina YC Bar & Restaurant. As well as Kobe’s Chinese grill!! Benihana style fun!! We rented our car from Enterprise and they were most accommodating!! Aloha Nui Nui from the Selvy’s!

My wife, her brother & his wife ,and I stayed here from March 31 _ April 10, 2019. We stayed in condo # 209. When we arrived we were amazed at the number of stairs we had to climb (No elevator). Inside were more, very narrow and treacherous stairs, with no suitable handrail to the second level, which was a loft, with no door and no privacy, even to the toilet and shower. Toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months..shower ran hot and cold. Ceiling fan was coated in dust and looked like it had never been cleaned. No air conditioning and the upstairs was like a sauna. The fans that were provided were so noisy that we had to turn them off in order to sleep .Our first impression was not a good one. We tried to get our money back, but to no avail, so we had to stick it out. You have to pay for laundry facilities, in addition to the cost of the condo. There wasn't a table inside for us to eat on. Had to eat outside on the lanai, which was only separated from the next lanai by a wall that wasn't extended all the way out for privacy. People in the next condo could basically look into ours and vice versa. Carpet on the lanai was dirty and torn. To top it all off, the last night we were there, the tenant downstairs in 109 shouted and banged on the floor and said we were moving around like a herd of elephants. We were simply moving the table and chairs inside to play cards. He again moved out on the grass so he could see into our condo and shouted for us to be quiet. This was around 8:30 at night. Needless to say, we told him where to go and continued to have our game. I think he was drunk. Other than that, the view was great. Would not recommend staying in Polynesian Shores, condo #209 to anyone. There are plenty of far better condos that are on a sandy beach that you can spend your hard earned money on.

It is nice and quiet - right next to the ocean. There is a small rocky beach next to it. Rooms are nice and clean. The management is helpful. Lots of light and you can see ocean from the room and patio.

The views at Polynesian Shores are lovely and the condo tried to be clean but it is pretty old and worn out. The dishwasher is gross inside, the tub has rust in the corners, around the drain and the floor of the tub is that pinikish color that is left from washing of bodies then not cleaned properly. And, it looks like someone dropped a bowling ball in it with a big chunk of the porcelain missing and the black cast iron showing. The carpet in the bedroom needs to be replaced. It is very stained and has a greasy feel to it. There is a “fishbowl” quality to the condos. All of the them are built in a circle and they face the pool. When you walk out to the pool or to the ocean (where you can gingerly make your way down to but cannot swim there. All rocks and no beach) everyone is looking at you (unless it’s night. Then people seem to be indoors). The condo (113) has old jalousied windows that were either stuck closed or open. The bedroom is right on the street and it was very noisy. The family above had two young children who woke at dawn and ran up and down the condo waking us each morning. This condo is clearly a “cash cow” that needs some significant updating: windows, carpet, new tub, dishwasher (at least clean it), new couch and nicer furnishings. It has the feel of an old not too great beach motel. Another thing is that you have to order beach towels by email BEFORE you arrive or you can’t get them. We had to buy two at Times (local grocery store). Is that really necessary? The grounds are nicely kept and it does look nice on the outside but we won’t come back to this particular place.

Spent 5 wonderful days & nights here. Clean, quiet 1st floor condo, with everything we needed. Walk out the lanai to the beach/rocks and watch the turtles! Very convenient location for staying in West Maui.

Very nice condo-style accommodations in the ka'anapali/lahaina area. There is a small, somewhat private beach behind the hotel that is great for a relaxing beach day! While there we were able to see some giant sea turtles basking in the sand.

We have been to this property six different times. Each time we are excited to arrive and sad to depart. The property is clean and comfortable. We stay in a single bedroom unit for a week or longer each time. The rock beach is less than 100 yards from our lanai and is an awesome place to snorkel or play in the surf. Each time we enter the water, we encounter at least three greenies -- sea turtles...also many colorful varieties of fish, eels, squid, and more. The property itself is older, but very well kept. The value is incredible. Bree and the rest of the management staff are the best. Situated away from the fancy resorts, Polynesian Shores is near a local public beach, a great farmers' market, and so much more. I strongly recommend this great value property.

Stayed for a week; found the condo to be very clean with wonderful ocean view. Onsite staff was very helpful. Good location with easy access to Highway 30; close to grocery stores and only a 5-10 minute drive away from all the action on Front Street. However, be aware that unit #209, a well-appointed two bedroom, two bath unit, lacks air conditioning. Ceiling and stand-up fans help to offset summer heat, but the upstairs loft can get a tad warmer than comfortable. Otherwise, no complaints on a very comfortable stay in beautiful Maui.

Views were unparalleled. Unit was very clean. 3BDRM/3BATH....very clean...nice unit. 20yds from Ocean...great pools...very clean grilling area. Just loved the unit. Exactly what was expected and more.

Our family recently stayed in #101 for a week. We were blown away with the amazing views and close proximity to the water. We loved every minute of our trip. The location can’t be beat...close to shopping, grocery stores, restaurants and beaches. Lahaina is just a 10-15 minute drive away. Everyone was very friendly and felt like a family after a week. The unit itself had everything we needed kitchen-wise as well as beach chairs, ice chest and fins! We will definitely be back!
