Great location near the witch's market, plenty of restaurants, ATMs and tourist area. The staff are great. Always friendly and accommodating. The rooms are on the small side, especially for 2 people, but are clean and comfortable. We were a group of 8 and were treated very well. The included continental breakfast is adequate, but you can also order off the menu which isn't well advertised. The food in the restaurant was very good
The location of this hotel ticks the boxes as it is close to the main attractions. The hotel itself was fine, comfy beds and a nice seating area. There is also a lift and the option to have washing done on site. The restaurant food was good (I had a quinoa burger), the only downside was the service which took a while and my food around 10 minutes after everyone else's. The breakfast is also a little basic but still does the job, although there are other places nearby for cheap breakfast choices also
We arrived at 4am from Cusco and the hotel was locked up and in darkness, so I was a little worried about my choice first off but after buzzing and being greeted by the night manager with a smile I still felt a little intrepidation about this choice . The room was small but the bed confortable so that was great, the staff where so helpful and friendly. What I liked most was they didn't put on airs and graces and would yell out for each other from the desk, made me feel like home. They organized our tour to Valley de Luna through Diana tours which adjoins the hotel, so easy.
Cannot get any better as far as location goes, there are plenty of places to eat, shops, markets and ATM is just across the road. Staff are very accomodating, and helpful. Our room was a little cold, but they provided us a heater right away. The bathroom is tiny and i found it a little unclean. There is only 1 socket in the room and the TV was plugged in, so you need to take that out if you want to charge your phone. I recommend packing a multi-socket charger. The sheets and pillowcases were ripped. Breakfast was ok, basic but enough. All good, but the rooms could do with an uplift.
We stayed here 2 times with a gap of a day. The staff was kind enough to store our bags for a day when we had gone to Uyuni. They also provided us a printout of the tickets which we needed. The location is very good abundance of places to eat. ATM is just outside the hotel. Nice breakfast to start your day and there is a local market within walking distance.
If you are looking to stay in the city in the middle of the tourist area this is your place. Great location, staff was super helpful and let us check in early. The hotel had good WiFi. I would stay here again.
Located in a great area near markets. Staff were friendly rooms were clean. Good wifi. Had English HBO too. Breakfast was ok. Standard. Would stay again for location alone. I recommend doing the Bolivian death road experience with a company called gravity. Great day out.
We arrived late in the evening from the Bolivia Hop bus and were given a room at the back facing a brick wall. We were too tired to do anything about it that night, but the next day asked to change and were given a good room with views over the city. Ok, we got the city noise, but it was worth it! Nothing else to add to previous reviews, the staff were lovely, nothing too much trouble, only downside was WiFi didn’t always work. Overall we were happy with our choice.
Hotel Sagarnaga met my needs to be in a very centralized location and in close proximity to the Teleferico and bus/mini-bus access plus a lot of just walking around. I felt safe as a sola woman traveler. The staff are friendly and helpful. When my in-room safe was inoperable, the manager came to fix it and again, very friendly. It's basic lodging and clean. The view from my room on the 5th floor was good - showing the impressive density of La Paz and Linea Morada taking folks up to El Alto. Hint: if you need to do laundry -- find an outside shop at 1/2 price of hotel -- just go uphill on Calle Sagarnaga and right on Calle Santa Cruz for 1-2 blocks on right hand side. Great same day service at 10 bolivianos per kilo.
Very good hotel in a great location. The service was nice, the room was good. The shower had peculiar design that caused the water to flood the bathroom floor, but otherwise it worked well. Wifi was good and the room was warm and quiet during the nights. They had their own restaurant which was very cheap compared to the ones outside of the hotel.
