I always stay there for work for one or two nights. I can say that always the attention is great, employees are very polite and always on attention. The rooms are big and comfortable, room is always warm and beds are good. One good thing is that they put 3 types of pillows hard, soft and medium, so you can choose the one that best fits your rest. Breakfast is complete and delicious they have the option of cups to take coffee out, helps a lot when you are in a rush. Don’t know if they have gluten free menu. I recommend this place.

Second visit to La Paz; very nice hotel! The room was very welcoming, clean and comfortable. The services from the front desk, room service and breakfast in the restaurant were fantastic. I even opted to take the teleferico from the airport to the hotel since I get motion sick and the hotel arranged for taxi to pick me up at the airport - take me to the telefrico in El Alto and pick me up after my very nice teleferico ride down at the end just a few short blocks from the hotel. Will highly recommend to my colleagues and looking forward to coming back soon!

My wife and I spent 5 nights here while touring La Paz. The Zona Sur location was tranquil respite from chaotic and higher central La Paz. Front desk did not seem to be geared to tourism, struggled to provide a basic map. Suite was very comfortable. Hotel was easy 15 min walk to the start of the green line teleferico which is an incredible transport system. Noted nearby restaurants include Gustu and Propriedad Publica.

Went for 4 days for a seminar organized by UN Habitat and Mi Teleferico at La Paz. Very helpful and courteous staff. Patiently listened to all queries ! Lady at the reception gave helpful tips for shopping and gave spanish equivalents for shopping queries ! Excellent hotel for a tourist ! Sreekumar India

I was in La Paz for a conference in May. Living in Bogotá, Colombia, on 2600 meters above sea level, I thought I would cope well in La Paz, despite the 1000 meter climb. The first day I felt ok but was completely knocked down by altitude sickness on the second day. It was like a bad hangover with an encompassing flu, forcing me to stay in bed instead of attending the conference. The staff at la Casa Grande was absolutely wonderful then. The maid came by my room and noticed how ill I was and without a word she proceeded to making me some coca tea and giving me instructions on how to get better. I recovered in time for day 3-4 and enjoyed some very interesting days in La Paz. The room was great, the bathroom and shower excellent, and the breakfast was very generous. I would recommend this place for business and leisure travellers alike. Sure, located in an upscale area of La Paz you do need to travel some in order to reach the old town etc. The cable car system is close to the hotel and that option allows you an amazing view over the city - daytime and nighttime.

Enjoyed one night stopover in La Paz, upgraded to the “Presidential suite” (704), which roomy, but felt a little sterile and cold - notwithstanding a rubber duck to put in the bath and a choice of seven pillows to choose from on the bed from firm to hard. But overall the place has a good location, four blocks from the cable car for exploring, but it lacked charm, friendliness and soul.

I always stay there when I'm on a work trip to La Paz. The hotel is nice and clean, the attention is excellent and internet service very good. Breackfast is complete and delicious. The location is excellent, in the main avenue of the south part in La Paz city and its a walking distance from supermarkets and restaurant to get food. There is also a Mall nearby. The rooms has good space. Didn't ask if they have gluten-free menu. I will ask next time I'm there and post.

We travel periodically to La Paz, Bolivia to visit family and have stayed in several hotels in La Paz, but have settled on one in particular, the Casa Grande Suites hotel. This hotel is located in the Southern Zone, called “Zona Sur” (Zona Sur, Calle 17) so it’s at a lower altitude than the airport which helps me adapt to the thin atmosphere. The Air Port is at 4050 meters (or 13,280 feet) but the hotel is at 3250 meters (or 10,600 feet), nearly 3000’ difference makes for easier breathing. Casa Grande Suites is a Five-Star accommodation and they provide all the necessary services. One that I particularly appreciate is the Air Port pickup service, that makes the transition from travel to stay very convenient. When I plan my trips I communicate my itinerary in advance with the hotel management and they have a driver meet us at the airport with our name on a placard and trundle all our bags to the waiting car. The car is also excellent quality, as you begin to take taxis in La Paz you learn to appreciate vehicle quality; a minor item but the details add to the total: I have found Casa Grande Suites to be an excellent place to stay in La Paz Bolivia. Casa Grande Suites is a model building with smooth operating elevators, a gym, business computers, conference rooms and daily breakfast buffet. The mattresses are comfortable for me, and I am overweight, and there are extra blankets in the rooms, plus a mini-fridge and coffee maker, but of course there is 24-hour rooms service too. There is no pool but the climate at 10,000’ is almost always cool to cold, even in the summer sun. The beautiful and polite Bolivian people and culture is reflected in Casa Grande Suites staff and management; they are helpful and accommodating, sincerely concerned for your wellbeing. I Have stayed here twice and will continue to return to Casa Grande Suites, whenever I return to La Paz Bolivia!

This was a great place to stay for two nights in La Paz bolivia. While a little away from the airport, the hotel was very modern and the staff was very friendly. We really enjoyed the two bedroom suite.

This hotel in the southern area of La Paz maybe on the quieter side with regard to restaurants etc....but the service here is outstanding. The staff of Andrea,Daniel,Christian ,are very professional as are all the staff from Oscar in the restaurant to the lovely ladies that looked after our room. The rooms were large and very comfortable with three types of pillows labelled soft medium and hard. They have a private taxi service run by Dionicio who took us around la Paz, sightseeing, for a very competitive rate. The restaurant is also very good. All up 5 stars for this Bolivian hotel. Note :There is another casa grande hotel.this review is for the apartments
