If you want to have a ryokan experience this is a great place. It's a peaceful place with a great environment. The staff is super friendly and guide you through the ryokan protocol. My room was spacious and comfortable, even faced to the street the noise was not an issue, actually it was very quiet. The best part of the stay was the meals. The dinner was one of the best experiences in my trip, and the traditional breakfast was also great. It is in the Gion area, so you can do a lot of things just walking, sightseeing, shopping or eating. There is a call out for people with mobility issues. I am not sure if the ryokan is accessibility friendly. So be aware that there are stairs to access the hotel and the rooms.

Fantastic stay steeped in Japanese tradition. Rooms beautiful, welcome wonderful, beds comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, prehaps a bit too much for 2 teenagers, but still amazing and delicious regardless.
