This is a lovely hotel! It is short walk from Kyoto station and near many shops and restaurants. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and more spacious than many others we’ve stayed in.

Overall this was a pretty decent stay, location is fantastic and right beside a 7-11 and Kyoto station. Service could be much warmer and friendlier. Breakfast was a miss for my family, had to pay extra for kids even though we paid for breakfast in booking, kids didn’t eat enough to justify, should have just stuck with the 7-11 and saved the cost. Gave me a bit of unnecessary stress when requesting to forward luggage to another hotel. Did my best to communicate that I had already made arrangements with that hotel - but because their phone line was down they didn’t want to send it. Took a good 15 minutes to sort out and indicate that I was taking responsibility for the transfer if anything went wrong. Thankfully it arrived at the hotel no issues. Rooms are a decent size for hotel type of hotels, took a bit of rejigging of luggage. Clean, bed remade everyday which we appreciated. Overall a solid stay if you don’t care much for warm and fuzzy.

I stayed here for 2 separate nights and they were both excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. I love that you need a keycard to access the elevator, and that you can leave your luggage at the hotel before check-in and after check-out. The location is literally a 2 minutes walk a from Kyoto Station, making it easy to catch the trains!

Rooms were clean, staff courteous enough but not as friendly as the 5 other hotels we stayed in during this trip, proximity to Kyoto Station definitely a plus. Breakfast staff were friendly and efficient.

Hotel was well located around the area of Kyoto Station, only 5 to 10 minutes walk. A convenience store located right below at the hotel makes it very easy to purchase some groceries or to satisfy midnight cravings for food, at any time. There are sufficient coin laundromats in the hotel so that guests do not need to queue to use it. The TV in the room even allows guests to access apps like YouTube and Netflix, which we totally enjoyed it. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Via Inn at Kyoto, would consider booking Via Inn Hotels at other parts of Japan again in our future trips to Japan.
