Great location. The room was comfortable and clean.

The hotel staff helped us to contact Japan Airlines during when JAL canceled our flight due to typhoon Hagibis. They also extended our stay for 2 extra days when we are stranded due to the typhoon. This is excellent service. Hotel room, especially the bathroom is little bit deteriorated but staffs keeps it clean. Our twin room is large enough for 2 of us (in Japan standard). There was an incident during check in when a Chinese couple cut ahead of the line to check in and the hotel receptionist woman mistakenly checked them in ahead of waiting people in line. The hotel manager quickly apologized and offered us free drinks and admittance to their "Stay Guest Lounge" (which we did not use due to our busy schedule). There were ambulance sounds at late night due to the hospital is just a block nearby. Overall, the hotel service is very good.

The positive on this is the proximity to the station. The negative is the place is old, the AC Dont work. Like you walk out the lobby, you feel how warm it is. You adjust the AC and still dont get cool. We were miserable all night. The pillows are like rocks. The bathrooms were dirty. There were black mold/dirt around the sink, shower, floor etc. it was disgusting. Im not picky but those kind is a NO for me. I had to scrub it with their free toothbrush coz I cant keep looking at the sink.

Great location - next to train station. Very clean, excellent service and friendly staff. One thing we missed was easy access to microwave oven.

Convenient location right across from Kyoto station.

IN general, the hotel was pretty good and very convenient. The price was very reasonable. The room was a little bit small.

Hotel location is a big plus due to proximity of the transportattion access, restaurants and stores. However the room was very warm and ac not working. Hotel staff asked to fix the situation but of no help. Ended up opening the window to let the cool air in from the outside. They also have a fan in the room that didnt help either. Should have gotten a discount for the inconvenience.

The central AC for the hotel does not work so beware in the summer. the staff was nice enough to help us open the window. Luckily there was a breeze outside. It can get quite warm with the afternoon sun shining on the property. The location is great-right next to the trains and bus terminal.

The hotel is on the opposite side of the Kyoto Station. The location is very good. It can be seen from the hotel. Although the hotel room is not large, but to see the re renovated, breakfast is very good, there are two restaurants to choose from, the overall feeling good.

Like: location, close to the train station Dislike:  The property is really, really old, and they should refrain from using the term new’ in their property name.  Upon entering the hotel, you could already sense the hotel is not in its best condition.  It is also outdated, the front desk gave us a metal key rather than the 20th century card key.    The front desk also told us that we cannot use our pasmo card for the transportation and e should buy from them. As we enter our room, we could smell the uncleanliness, and musty order coming from all over the room.   We were uncomfortable in our entire stay , the area was nosiy and we could not sleep. We complained about he noise and ask to be moved to another room away from the street.  A hotel representative went up to our room, and asked if we already used the bathroom, and then he said, ‘you already slept on the bed.  (it was an afternoon nap).  They confirmed they would move us to another room but we didn’t realise the nightmare just startedThe bathroom is not well maintained and not cleaned properly.  We could smell urine near the toilet before we could even use it.  As my wife took a shower, and took the shower head, a hole in the wall was revealed which was directly pointing to her body.   We decided to check out the next day and move to another hotel.  Since our contract does not allow us to make a refund, we sadly and unfortunately forego the entire payment for five (5) nights.  To be continued....
