Legend Cherating has always been one of my favorite places when we visit Cherating. The rooms we stayed in have the beach view and it is only about 100m to the beach. There's a long stretch of beautiful beach which is not crowded. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. The rooms and furnishings may be a little worn-out but we had a pleasant stay.
It's been quite a while since I was here, as we always went to another resort when we are in Cherating. The other resort closed down :(. Legend has not changed much over the years, except that its getting older and older. The rooms was OK, spacious and we had a deluxe garden view upgraded to a deluxe seaview, which was a good thing. Everything works well in the room except that the floor was sticky when we checked in. It was properly cleaned the next day. Breakfast wasn't too bad. It was during the school holidays so there was a big crowd, nevertheless there were always empty tables for guests. They used to have a lively pub/cafe and live band which is gone now. So evenings are spent outside of the resort. Don't expect too much night life in Cherating or Kemaman though. Get a seaview room, well worth it.
It's laid out on a resort feel, but rooms and cleanliness around the resort is awful. Room, stinks of mold, looks old, feels old, sheets are not as white, everything felt grey in the room which felt depressing. Pool areas, they were great and manageable. Located driving distance from restaurants, shops, cafes, etc.
I been to this Legend Resort last year and I would say this is a good place to be away from busy "Town Life". Like others, I went through the same feelings on the room condition and the washroom. Wish not to say more about it since it was happened last year and the upgrading and renovation process going on as promised by the hotel management. Well I'll be going again with my friends, 6 pax on 28th April 2018, which is 8 days from now. Booked 3 rooms and paying high price since it falls on weekend. I just wish, this not going to be my last trip to this resort if they provide me with the same kind of facilities and room environment. I did called the hotel 3 times for this month to make sure everything goes Okay. As they said... will try out best. Their "safe" punch line. I just hope we ...6 of us will have a memorable stay next week and highly appreciate if we get the renovated rooms. We booked "Grand Deluxe Double Room" and I did call the hotel for the King bed and requested please don't give since beds...since 3 of us coming as a partners. Again the reply as based on the availability. I booked this more than a month ago and I didn't expect this kind of reply. Seriously I choose to write here before my travel and definitely will write gain after my visit to your hotel. It would be more transparent for the other travellers to validate and to review which hotel they need to choose. Right now I'm being neutral. Let's see what's the outcome after my visit and definitely will post with pictures to validate my words. I'm being neutral now so I'm putting 3 (Average) for my last stay
I stayed here overnight on my way to Kuala Terengganu. Rates were great as it was off-season and property was located on the famed Cherating Beach. Check-in was a breeze, the check-in desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I had a sea facing room which was pleasantly large. Although clean, bright and breezy, the rooms and in fact the entire property looks tired and dated. The entire resort could do with a thorough refresh. I only had the buffet breakfast and it was only a small selection, food quality was average.
1. Check in process abit slow 2. Rooms are facing the beach and field which my students can play futsal, very nice! 3. Food at their restaurant was a bit blunt, better try food outside the resort, there are plenty of restaurants outside, in fact there is a restaurant called D'Cherating situated at the entrance of the resort, good food, affordable price 4. The beach is great! My daughter loves it very much. 5. Not enough lighting at our rooms (we stayed at deluxe room), a bit dark. 6. No pipe hose in the toilet, a bit hard to clean our sandy feet. 7. Overall good experience, will definitely come here again.
Very relaxing, spent entire late afternoon to evening in beach front, had couple of beers, flying kite, sea and pool swimming. Should have spend another afternoon here for the water sports, and ATV, next time will do that. Room is as usual, bit old and some amenities in room are not working well. But I am ok with it as will not be in room for most of the time. With the price that paying, just bear with it. CAUTION: Please bring and use mosquito repellent if you would like to do so morning walk at the beach.
Good: - Location: Nice/Clean Beach, however no other activities. If u only want a nice beach & pool, it fits your requirement. - Pricing: Reasonable for the room v got (Very Basic) - Food: Reasonable for the pricing. However, ample of restaurants available outside the hotel (walking distance & drive). There is a simple Chinese restaurant located at the side of the hotel fronting the beach, reasonable taste and charges, however, have to wait long for the food due to less manpower. IMPROVISE: - The hotel REALLY needs a massive renovation. The look & feel of the hotel really rundown. - SERVICE: The staffs right from the concierge, front office, room service and general staff all NEED TO BE TRAINED on CUSTOMER SERVICE. They make u feel why u come to this hotel, sad but it's real. OUR HIC-CUPS: - We were charged for something that was not been informed to us there will b a charge. So hv to spend some time to explain the mistake made by the hotel. Thanks
Big hotel with fantastic location. Beautiful beach and wonderful big swimming pools. Just love to do my lapps in the deepest pool. Our room is big & clean. Dated but well maintained. The restaurant serves good food and the breakfast buffet was very impressive with great choices. This is really a good place for relaxation.
