Didn’t feel comfortable here at all- only female in the whole place for four nights- would have gone somewhere else but couldn’t get a refund and didn’t have the funds. Staff were ignorant and rude tbh. They lived in the dorm opposite I think. Good location though.

Amethyst is my all-time favorite hostel. It was my first time hostel hoping, and I wasn't sure if I would make friends. Enter Saiful. He invited me to dinner where I got to know other travelers, who I ended up spending the rest of my time in KL with, visiting everything from the Batu Caves to the Putrajaya Pink Mosque. I originally booked for three nights but ended up extending to a week because I couldn't leave so soon after meeting such incredible people! Saiful took us to the best spots for nightlife and helped us find delicious local food. If I could give Amethyst 10 stars, I would. I highly recommend if you're looking to have a social experience in KL! Everything's always fun when you're with the right people. (:
