Cracow Stay AptsNoisy construction site on raceway

The building itself is not finished. Be prepared to enjoy the sounds of pounding and drilling if you want to take a nap after a long trip, like I tried and failed. It is an apartment. It has settings for 3 but 2 chairs. Lights in the hall work if you walk halfway down the hall in the dark. No emergency exit lighting. No switches outside apartment door to turn lamps on in hallway. Elevator is not finished. It is still fiberboard on the inside. Keypad not calibrated so be ready to jab at it for a long time. Noise from the road is like Formula Racing meets Grand Central Station as the noise from the trams, buses and traffic compete to annoy you. Internet access is by cable; Windows 7 does not auto-install them and you must install them manually, a challenge if you don't know computers. It is not the best, either. Shower 'door' installed at minimum clearance; you have to move the shower head assembly to close the 'door'. No curtain. Messy. No soap at sink to wash hands- must use liquid shower soap. Bedsheets are made of cheap-feeling rough terry-cloth material or similar. I've slept on finer cloth in youth hostels. Even the Army has better bed sheeting. There is no pitcher for juice or water in the kitchen. No coffeepot. This is bare-bones so bring your own from home. Some wiring and plumbing is still exposed. There are no directions to operate ANYTHING. The stove is some new induction model and I have no idea how to operate it. I am not sure about the window screening and the thermostat. If there is no air conditioning, this place will be a furnace in summer. There are no maps or other tourist information. I was not told even where was the nearest food shoppe... I had to find the well-known international chain supermarket on my own. This is NOT conducive to being a tourist as there are no maps or anything to help you.

Krakow is a magic place to go,you just need a nice place to stay tose apartments are perfect for it.

tyvärr fick vi ingen info om att det inte fanns någon reception,ingen bytte sängkläder eller handdukar,på en vecka. Vi som kommer från sverige skulle gärna vilja dricka ur ex.vattenglas.Det fanns det inte. Läget var bra ,det togca. 30 min.tillstan,men bussen gick var 10:min. Om man ville ha tag på någon .så fick man ringa på sin egen telefon.
