The pictures are definitely not the same. No refrigerator or safe in the room. AC didn't work properly. The elevator always had a huge queue.

Good hotel to sleep and enjoy your time out

It was just as described a suitable place to sleep and very close to many places and to MTR station, the staff were cooperative and nice, overall good experience

The elevator to the "hotel" was always cramped and would close quickly. Once there, one room, which appeared to be a residential home was constantly playing loud music. The beds in the rooms had hairs all over them, I felt disgusted by it. Oh and there was smoke everywhere near enough

For the price, the room was totally acceptable. It was very small, but so are many rooms in hotel. The hotel staff was accommodating and friendly. It is very centrally located which made navigating to other parts of the city very convenient. There were also many services (sim card purchase, money exchange, etc.) located very close.

we were given another room instead of Russian . we were disappointed overall. we have 4 person but they only 'catered' for 3 . room was so small, smaller than my bedroom back at home.

It's cheap.. That's it.

We knew that this was not a normal hotel, but just one storey of a building, that was owned by the hotel, but this is not even that. The floor where the hotel is located (16. floor), is part of 5 hotels, which each owns a few rooms for rent. Before entering the hotel, you fight your way through a lot of people, offering rooms in the same building on different floors. If you choose the 'backway', you walk through shops offering amongst others, sextoys. The area is not clean, and the most positive we have to say, is that by staying at the Russian Hotel, you've seen the worst Hong Kong has to offer. Location is good though, 10 mins walk from Victoria Harbor.

Very bad reception service not good welcome Very rode behaviour in reception And not the same whatever they said on online advertising complete different from the adver. It's on a flat you have too wait for long time for lift lots of people waiting for lift and when you get in lift go to reception and check in than one of the staff take you other building cross the road. It's not a hotel it's on a apertment or guest house they run as a hotel. But room boy very good and helpfull.

The worst place in HK

I did stay there only few hours since we landed in HK late. This is the worst place I have ever stayed while traveling overseas. I ended up searching some hotels and found a good one although expensive and moved out of this place immediately.

Excellent Value for Money

The Russian Hotel is a clean, affordable hostel. It is located amongst several other hostels within the Chungking Mansions. Bathroom is clean. Hot water works. Air conditioning and fan work well. There is a safe and small refrigerator. There is also space under the beds for luggage. The Chungking Mansions is a bustling place so the elevators are quiet busy. The location is great. Two blocks away from the Peninsula Hotel and Sheraton, and the Avenue of the Stars.

Cheap hotel but with bed bug

Location: The hotel main reception is at Chung king mansion block Level 16, however the room that was allocated to us were over at the building across the road, called the harilela mansion, next to i-square( not complaining as the environment is less messy, shorter waiting time for lift). Room: The double bed room was small, tooth brush, towel, safe, hair dryer, free wifi shampoo and soap (looked and smell weird) were provided but I am not complaining as the room was cheap at about 300hkd per night. Everything was good till I started to sustain mysterious bites and itches every morning when I woke up.( I stayed there for a week). I requested for a change of bed sheet, which the staff kindly did for me. However I was horrified when he told me that he didn't have extra blanket cover to change for my blanket. ( just imagining how many people used the same blanket without changing or washing???) I requested for a new blanket but he said he didn't have and he just kept repeating that the blanket was good. So for the next 2 nights, I slept with towel while my partner slept with the blanket and guess what? He also got the same bites and itches as me. Yes the room is cheap and location is superb as mtr is just right below our apartment but I would definitely not recommend this to anyone unless they get rid of the bed bug and improve on their cleanliness. Please buy more sets or bed sheets cover and stop using towel as floor rag to clean the floor.

Good location. Small. BED BUGS. Both me and my partner were bitten several times on our legs. They also claim to NOT change the cover of the blanket. Meaning, their blankets are never cleaned!
