This is the hotel we stay at every time we visit Hong Kong, largely because of its unbeatable location. The direct connection to the mall is incredibly convenient, and the rooms are consistently clean. That said, the property is starting to show its age, and the bed was a bit too hard for our liking.
Unfortunately, this stay was let down by a messy and slow check-in experience. The staff were friendly, but not particularly well trained. As Go Royal members, we had already pre-checked in and queued at the Go Royal priority check-in line, yet we ended up waiting nearly 20 minutes—longer than the regular line. When we raised our concern after waiting for so long, one staff member actually tried to redirect us to the normal check-in line, which was frustrating. Eventually, Bill (who appeared to be the manager) came over to check us in. While he apologized for the confusion, the response felt perfunctory and did not convey that the situation was taken seriously.
Overall, the location and cleanliness continue to be strong points, but the poorly managed priority check-in detract from what should be a smoother experience for loyal guests.
