Overall we had a good time. If I have to mention that must be improved is - breakfast. Though the staff is quite courteous, but as guests would like to have breakfast in the hotel itself, more options must be provided instead of 5-6 set combinations. Otherwise, cleanliness, housekeeping, location etc., everything is value for money.

I have enjoyed spending almost a month in this hotel. The room is relatively spacious with comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast was a la carte with 6 options, which could be tailor-made to your liking (within what is available, obviously). Three staff, Louis (at the front desk), Ken and Dominic (at breakfast), were fantastic and made my stay that bit more pleasant. It is at a convenient location and just far enough to escape from all the hussle and bustle of the main street (Nathan Road). In fact, I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was at night. There are just a few things I would say about it that I feel could change/improve: 1. The shower part of the bathroom has a glass wall, which allows light to shine through. So during the night, when my daughter needed to use the facilities, the light woke us up because it was so bright. Perhaps you could consider placing a curtain there that could be draw. Alternatively, have a switch that turns only the light in the main part on when necessary. 2. The housekeeping was actually very good - nice people. I might be a little picky here, but there was no need to throw away my slippers daily. After a couple of days, I caught on what they were doing and decided to hide the slippers so they wouldn't get thrown away. It seemed a huge waste to have a new pair daily. I did have a second pair after about 10 days as the original ones were falling into pieces. 3. Housekeeping could perhaps be a little more conscientious with replacing the amenities available in the bathroom, especially the shower caps, which both I and my daughters need. This also was thrown away daily by your staff, which I found very wasteful. Something to think about? Being conscious of the environment, I was feeling very bad about all the plastic I was throwing away. Overall, though, knowing that this is the Holiday Inn Express, I was not expecting 5-star facilities. However, I had enjoyed my stay and will definitely consider returning in the future and will recommend it to friends and family.

The stay at the holiday was average. The military style breakfast had its own charm, but I think the hotel should move to the express breakfast that holiday inn express usually provides. Phoenix the young lady at reception was the highlight. She was an absolute pleasure, very helpful and resourceful. The activities recommended by her were fun. Months later she has still left a lasting memory.

I stayed 4 nights in June on a business trip. Check-in was friendly and no problems. Room was a mid-size but clean with the standard amenities. The hotel is centrally located and within a 5-10 minutes to Nathan Road with lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. For me the the location was perfect. Breakfast was included and I had the Western Delight every morning. On my last morning, I had a very early departure and the reception very kindly arranged a breakfast box. I also used self service laundry (washer/dryer) and the view from the top floor is worth a visit. Would recommend and stay at the HIE Mongkok again.

The location is good, just a short bus drive away from tsim tsa. Walking distance from the shopping streets. However the area around the hotel isn't that good, hardware stores, and not too clean. The room we checked in was stinking, however on request they changed it. Breakfast was average

We arrived at the hotel a bit early but they have accommodated us, checked the room and knowing it was vacant, they allowed us for an early check-in! We even had a welcome drink and snack. The hotel room was clean and there was a couch facing the view. I just wished the bed was a bit more softer but it is fine, we slept well anyways. For the breakfast-it was just right for me since it is plated and has i think 5-6 selections which are also filling. Thanks Holiday Inn team. we enjoyed our stay. :)

I stayed at this hotel with my mother who needs constant support. We got a nice and clean room with 2 queen size beds very comfortable. There wasnt much space left but it was perfect for our needs. Staff is very nice and service minded and breakfast was good. We visitied the rooftop gym and pool which was perfect in the heat. Only thing is it's a 10 minutes walk from the MTR. Quiet rooms and I will definitely book at this hotel again.

If you were like me (reading the reviews here prior to a booking in Hong Kong (HK) the process can be overwhelming. Welcome to HK! I saw the reviews for this hotel and am so glad I chose it. Here's what went well: AC working great, wifi great, breakfast food (we tried the western sampler and hong kong treats) all were good, room size was fine - plenty of closet space, shower and toilet were private (no looking glass in) and most of all - our room was QUIET! Our room had a mini fridge which was great. The only grouse is that the tub (which is nearly full-sized) has a high step-in/out threshold. The staff, all of whom spoke very good English, offered exceptional information about navigating HK. (In HK that has to count for a lot.) The hotel location is close to the Mong Kong MTR metro stop (do not confuse Soy Street Subway as a metro stop - it is just an under the street passage). We took the city bus into HK, $33HK took 1 hour and 10minutes but was smooth. Exit at stop 9 on the bus map which is just ahead of DUNDAS street. If coming from City Bus (called CIty Flyer) exit the bus and turn right on Dundas and walk about 4 blocks toward Dundas and Ferry Street. {If you walk to the left you'll be in the ladies market area} Plenty of ethnic, super low cost eateries nearby. We opted for those and McDonalds as well. Hotel location was great for a first timer to HK. We walked to HK Museum (30 min - mostly due to street crossing traffic and later from Star Ferry 28 min). On star ferry we luckily timed our arrival for the light symphony at Victoria Harbor at 9pm. Once on HK island we walked around the SoHo area (near Hard Rock, etc) and returned back to Holiday Inn Express from Central Metro in 25 minutes. Buy an Octopus card at the metro and use it for everything you can! Taxi to hotel is about $300HK.

Room size is acceptable. Good breakfast choice and included in the price. Great one star Michelin Cantonese Restaurant Yuet Lai Shun across the street and a small park across the highway overpass for morning exercise. It is next to the highway and in an industrial business and service area. It takes 10 min. walk to Nathan Road shopping area and four short blocks to convenient store or laundry service.

This Holiday Inn Express locates in the centre of Kowloon, Hong Kong and a very reasonable and affordable price. The rooms are clean and not too small/conjested. The price also includes a call to order breakfast, which not all Holiday inn express offerred. On the whole, the value offered beyond the price; especially for IHG members got discounts.
