They didn't know what to do and there were few desk personnel who knew English. Not too helpful and the shower situation where the door to the shower acts as a bathroom door was weird. Will get better with time but right now I felt it was learning on my time.
I would definitely stay here again. Hotel was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The maid service was also great, always noticed what we used the most and made sure we had plenty until the next visit. My stay included free breakfast, I'm a little too Americanized to fully appreciate the food that was offered, even being picky there was at least something I could eat each morning. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling.
We arrived at the hotel around 10:00 after over 15 hours of flying and checked in but could not get our rooms until after 2:00 pm. We asked manager if we can have some coffee since it was still breakfast time, he said no. We were a group of 8 and was very surprised that they would not offer us some coffee after arriving there and flying for so many hours. We ended up going across the street to get our coffee and breakfast. When I checked out I brought it up to the manager who at that point offered me coupon to get coffee-I told him it was pointless as I'm leaving the same day and was not happy with the service I received from their hotel
This is a hotel just opened last November. It is within 5 minutes walk to MTR station. The room size for 2 is adequate. Free buffet breakfast included. Staff is nice and helpful. It also has self service laundry facilities which costs HK$40 for washing and HK$40 for drying but we need to buy the tokens from reception before doing your laundry.
I stayed here twice from 5/2-5/5 and 5/9-5/12. The new hotel was situated in Kwun Tong and was about a 8-minute walk from Kwun Tong Station Exit A2. You would have to cut across APM mall, thru Entrepot Centre and then get onto How Ming Street. It is then just 1 block away from the entrance of Entrepot Centre. Check in was at 3pm. As a gold member, we got a welcome drink. The room was of moderate size and the beds were comfortable. I thought the AC was not very powerful but it didn't really bother me that much. Complimentary breakfast buffet was included in our stay. There were croissants, salad, yogurt, vermicelli, congee, oatmeal, fried rice, stir-fried veggies, fish siu mai, steamed buns(pork, custard), hash browns, sausage, ham and scrambled eggs. They also had orange/apple juice, milk, coffee, and tea. Overall, the quality of the food was just average. I loved that they had a laundry room on the 7th floor with 2 washing machines and 2 dryers. However, it costs $40/HKD to wash or dry a load. They also had a rooftop garden on the 6th floor and vending machines to buy drinks. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Overall, it was a pleasant stay!
Nice hotel, quite close to subway, usual Holiday inn Express quality, room of a good size compared to usual HK super small rooms, clean, good wifi, easy check in. Breakfast is not so "rich" but fine. Location is a bit far from downtown but with subway can easily go everywhere in reasonable time
Stayed twice within 2 weeks in this hotel. Location is a few blocks from the MTR station KWUN TONG and the APM mall. It s not a bad location because of the easy access to the MTR and the mall but definitely not the best option for those needing quick acess to TST or Hong kong island. Getting to TST will take at least 40 minutes and getting to Central almost a full hour. I read there a s direct bus from the Airport but personnally took the Airport express to Kowloon and then a taxi and the whole trip took less than an hour with a cost of around 200 HKD. Be also aware that the close vicinity is not really the most charming or active one. Except for the area around the mall and the mall itself, the whole area between the hotel and the waterfront is really dull and without much to do or places to drink or dine. Personnaly I wouldnt recommend this hotel for first timers to Hong Kong or those whose goals are mostly shopping or dining. The hotel itself is very new so the rooms are still very comfy and nice compared to older Holiday Inn express such as the one in Tseung Kwan O or in Central. There s nothing fancy in the rooms and it is your regular Holiday Inn express rooms but it works and is good enough. Sizewise it s just nice for 2 pax, wouldn t really recommend staying as a family in one single room. Like most holiday inn express, there is no real lobby, just a sofa at the main entrance but you dont stay in these kind of hotels if you are in need of meetings. The breakfast was surprisingly good compared to other holiday inn express. Considering it is included in the price, nothing much to complain about, just dont expect anything fancy. Staff was suprisingly nice especially for Hong Kong standards and I was greeted everytime at the door whenever there was a staff manning the main door. Check in and check out were smooth and fast and felt friendlier than most hotels in Hong Kong even those on a more luxurious range. The hotel seems to be pretty busy all the time and there are quite a few Chinese tours using the hotel it seems. Didn t have too much of the noise issue but did bump into a few rougher ones who didnt mind putting their bare feet on the table right in front of the main entrance at the lobby....Wasnt really the prettiest sight but this can be seen even in luxury hotels in HK. Overall it is a fairly good value for money hotel mostly because it is new. If you dont mind its location or don t need to be downtown a lot it is a good choice.
Rooms are small , but modern and well equipped , no minibar available. No Bar at all in the hotel and we struggled to find a Bar in the local vicinity. So if you enjoy a Beer on your trip I'd advise against staying here. I didn't like the location and wouldn't stay here again.
pros: love the clean and organized room. they have the basic things you needed. i also like the interior of their lobby at the ground floor. it is very near the apm mall and mtr which is very convenient cons: if youre travelling for vacay better to get area near from mtr red line, because it's quite far from the busy area.
This hotel is in a great location. If arriving via HKG, I highly recommend taking the A22 bus (not the A29 as it costs more money) and purchase the round trip option. The bus drops you off at the Town Center which is across the street from the APM (shopping mall and Train Station). The round trip bus ticket costs HK55 which is about $7USD...super cheap and much easier than taking 3 different train lines to get to this hotel. Once off the bus, take the walk way over the road, down the ramp and then take a left at the Circle K and you will see the hotel. There are many food choices along with 7-11 and a Circle K. There is an HSBC bank within a couple of min walk of the hotel that accepted my Wells Fargo Debt Card so I could withdraw money without issue. Central Station is about a 35 min train ride (1 or 2 transfers depending on the routing you take) from the hotel. As for the hotel, the bed is a little on the firm side. The AirCon is very good and created a lot of white noise if you like that. The bathroom/shower door is a little awkward, but that is the standard for Holiday Inns in Asia these days. The breakfast got a little repetitive, but still was good. I would recommend going to breakfast before 8a as a lot of Chinese Tour groups stay at this hotel and breakfast gets very busy.
