This hotel has no redeeming features, it's is completely broken, very little works and the staff seem incapable of fixing anything. I was asked if I wanted to change rooms and I looked at three others - they were all disgusting. I checked out after two nights and found a lovely apartment for 30 euros a night.

For the amount we paid for this hotel, i would say it was great. Then again, Katie and George at reception, Karolina at the beach bar made our stay worthwhile we absolutely loved them! otherwise i wouldnt have even awarded 1 star. Katie and George were incredibly attentive and genuine, they helped with every problem we had and made our stay in Kos amazing. The rooms are old, the pillows and sheets dont seem very hygienic (which we gathered from other reviews so took our own pillow covers and sheets and towels). We spent out first night doing a general clean around our apartment just so were more comfortable. The breakfast isnt good at all so we ate out all the time. Tylos beach bar host a party every thursday at the pool at 6pm which is horrendous, its noisy and rampacked with teenagers doing inappropriate things and being disruptive. The location of this hotel is ideal, 5 minute walk from the harbour and bar street... The main issue we had was with the aircons, they just werent predictable and mostly blowing hot air which you can imagine is unbearable in that heat... It became apparent that most hotels in Kos were owned by people who dont really care about their customers and dont really want to spend money on things which are necessary, such as aircon and new bedding. This was the most budget holiday we have ever had to go on, so for the amount we paid we cant really complain, i definitely would not recommend this hotel to families with young children. More appropriate for a friends holiday.

We visited this hotel early this year and we were shocked by the state of the hotel. They told us that there was a swimming pool and snack bar outside, this was not true it was in the process of been rebuilt. The rooms were dirty and hot water in the hotel was never to be found. Outside was even a dead rat on the garden and all the plants were dead. The staff was rude mainly the old woman in glasses on the desk. There was wifi in the hotel rooms but bad reception too. We would never go back again.

Currently on holiday here with my friends and would recommend anyone who is planning a trip here to change immediately!! The hotel staff are rude and unhelpful, it is advertised as an 18-30s place however me and my friends haven't been able to make any noise what so ever without being aggressively approached by a member of staff even at the pool during the day when trying to play a game in the pool. Me and my friends have felt intimidated and scared on many occasions by the staff members! The facilities are also poor, with me and my friends having to hold the shower above each other heads and there is no holder for it, the food is also poor and we are yet to receive a meal we enjoy. Before coming here we saw bad reviews but remained optimistic however they proved to be true I would advise against coming here!!!

We stayed here for a week in june it's the 3rd time we stayed at this hotel and we love it! Thanos always makes us feel at home and the new bar area is amazing! All of the staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel is located in the centre so everything is within walking distance.

Stayed for almost 1 month with my family. It is a great place close to everything. The staff is superb and they really do anything in order to make your stay as good as possible. Great drinks and food in the pool bar. Great service with rental cars. I will definitely stay in this great hotel next year again.

Arrived at 0130 and given key to an apartment meant for 3 people. Room smelt of mould, was very hot and far from clean. Air con didn't work, shower only dribbled water, kettle didn't work, oven and hob filthy with one of the two burners corroded and not working. Equipment for 3 people was 7 plates, ( most cracked or chipped) 2 cups and one glass. 2 knives, 4 forks, 6 spoons and a bottle opener. No pans at all. Under the kitchen unit was a dirty waste bin and a lot of food debris. There were bare electric wires running from a junction box at floor level and only one plug socket out of 6 in the room worked. Also the TV was broken. The furnishings were old, broken and dirty, the shower full of mould and below the window was a shed roof covered in cigarette end, bottle tops and dried vomit. Complained to the night manager who couldn't or wouldn't do anything other than to tell me to complain at reception in the morning which I did. They gave me another apartment which was almost as bad but at least the air con worked. During the second night L was kept awake by groups of drunken French, Swedish and English teenagers running through the corridors shouting, screaming and swearing. Left the following morning and was refused any refund being told I should go to the booking agent. Paid £375 for 5 nights including breakfast and booked through Thomson Holidays who used a third party booking agent. Looking now on Kayak found the same deal for £192.00 so feel completely ripped off. This hotel does' deserve the one star I gave it let alone the 3 stars it advertises. Should be closed down.

Was there for month while visiting kos is in very good area. Was ok for sleeping but room needed done up did not look as if had not been done for a long time. Would go back if brought up to date has been a lovely hotel.

All I can say about this is DONT GO!!! It might be cheap but there is a reason for that and its not that its cheap and cheerful.. it is absolutely dire! And the owner.. well rude is not the word for her All I can say is that there are lots of lovely hotels in Kos.. go to a different one!

We spent three weeks at Oscar hotel this summer and we are more than pleased! We got a great room with a fantastic view. The staff is, as always, superb. The room was cleaned every day and the service is the best! Good prices and great location. We are definitly going back to Oscar!!
