Very basic but spacious apartment in an excellent location at the quieter end of Kardamena. Lefteris the owner is quite a character who goes out of his way to make your stay as enjoyable as he can and nothing is too much trouble, had to ask for clean towels but this was not a problem they were brought up immediately and the following day more clean towels and clean sheets. Yes you don't see much of him but he lives in the bungalow at the corner of the garden so can be easily found if needed. Air conditioning charged at 5 euro per day, free wifi in reception but can reach your room if located near, Clean, no frills, quiet accommodation would we stay here again a definite yes.
Love this hotel, I've stayed a few times and the owner is always very friendly and very honest! (I once left my bag with money and passports in reception and he found me to return it). It is very basic but Clean and idealy positioned in the centre close to shops and bars but still quiet.
this was our 4th stay here and its got worse yet there was no tv in our room no lounge bar we had to ask for towels to be changed 8 days in cleaning was very poor we had to get bleach/disinfectant to mask the smell of the drains. The beds was so hard and lumpy and very very noisey . Also the cleaners came early when they did come and their kids used to run about
Just back from here last week, stayed 2 nights in total out of our week stay here. Arrived at the hotel at 4am local time due to a delayed flight. Got into the hotel and their was a note with our lead name on it saying welcome with the key next to it.. 3 girls arriving to a dark hotel with a key at the main door, which was open and not a soul to be seen! Went to our room the door was open and we were terrified, but made our way in checked the wardrobes and behind doors as u would if your hotel room was open at 4am! Anyway room was fine got what we paid for, only thing was a mouldy fridge with beer cans from, I'm presuming the previous guest. Got up early the next morning to see if anyone was about and no one was there. Our group of friends who we travelled with where staying at the Seva hotel (amazing!) so we made our way there and stayed sleeping on lilos for the week coming back and forth every day for clothes and towels and still no one to be seen. Eventually met the owner on the second last day and when we told him about our room being open he said 'but do u have a problem with room? I send cleaner up' don't think he understood us well enough as this continued every time we spoke to him as we had to try and arrange transfers back to the airport which we had paid for before we came but had to confirm with the company that we were still wanting them. Kos is amazing! Best girls holiday ever, it is what u make it and if I wasn't for the Seva and the reps their helping us out then I think the holiday would have went down differently just for the fact that we didn't feel safe at all being there during the night, only seen one other guest and it is in the quiet area of kardamena. Not a safe feel to the place for girls but otherwise Kos was amazing and we can't wait to go back!
Me and my two friends stayed in Mamouzelos in late June this year. Based on what you pay, these apartments are fantastic! I couldn't fault the cleanliness at all and the cleaner was absolutely lovely. The bathroom was a bit bizarre but it added character to the place. When you closed the shower curtain you closed it around the toilet too! We found it hilarious! We also had the good fortune of having two balconies. The owner lives at the hotel so he is always available if you can find him. If you're there check out his garden in the middle of the hotel. Also eat at Manos restaurant which is just down the road on the beach, the food is really good!
Clean, bright an spacious. Obviously it's not a 5 star hotel. I am basing my review on what you expect for the price. I wasn't misleads into thinking it was going to be magnificent therefore I wasn't disappointed. The pool is just across the road, you get a kitchenette and balcony. The pillows were too fat for me but other that that it was perfectly nice.
I have to say that this is the 2nd time we have stayed at the apartments, mainly due to price, definitely not for the luxury. 1st time we stayed we had a poky bathroom and the shower curtain, was so filthy you felt dirtier coming out than you did going in, sheets were changed regally as were the towels. 2nd year being this July, he had remembered us, gave us a bigger room, much bigger bathroom and shower curtain was clean. He had also given us a bottle of red wine. Thought this was a nice touch. Did have to ask for more towels, to use on our hair, as only one towel is provided, They are changed, but if you want a fresh one and they have not been changed, just leave them in the shower. Rooms are emptied of rubbish daily, but cleaned errrrm NO. Aircon is 40 Euros, have to say we didn’t pay until we were actually checking out, and this is a must as the rooms no matter where you’re staying get extremely hot. The main problem this time round was the noise from the other guests, it was like an 18-30's holiday, but just 18 years old turning up. I have been 18 once and can remember them days still, but it was constant from about 2am until some times 6am. Don’t know if this was every night, as some nights we weren’t getting in until that time anyway But then other guests were slamming their doors early as well on their way to the beach. We did bring this up with Lefteris , he really didn’t see this as being a problem, think he was just happy the place was buzzing with people. Have to say last September when we stayed, it was a lot quieter and a lot less people. Beds are not the best, and neither are the pillows. But a cheap place to stay YES, would I stay there again... Yes if the price was right. But for me and my friend, its so near to the part of the beech we like, which is by Chris Bar, free sunbeds, good place to swim and also nice cheap food and drink, and also within a nice walk into the main area. Kos is not a place we go for luxury, its a place to go to see frinds and have fun. .
Travelling in a group of four, we were looking for a relaxing holiday with a couple of nights out in the town. We had originally booked to stay elsewhere however that hotel closed leaving us with the choice of mamouzelos 5 days before travelling!! All in all we got what we paid for i suppose. Its a very basic hotel however the owner is by far the most attentive i have ever known from a holiday resort. He is clearly passionate about his business and was quick to accomodate anything we requested. Wouldn't recommend for a family holiday however for young 'party go-ers' this resort is perfect. At 20 and 21 years old i think my holiday group were the eldest holiday makers during our stay in july 2013. p.s. do not be put of by the lack of onsite swimming pool, there is one at the agrelli hotel and is literally a two minute walk! closer than the walk for some of the larger holiday resorts!! and whilst youre sunbathing at the agrelli pool and bar, be sure to try the freshly squeezed orange juice - ITS INCREDIBLE.
Probably the largest apartment rooms in Kardamena. Sheets and towels changed regularly. The owner lives in a bungalow in the garden so is always available. Situated in a quite part of the village but only a couple of minutes walk from the beach and the town square. Have stayed here 20+ times so must be good. Best prices found on lastcheck web site. Air con and saftey boxes are available at extra cost. TV in all rooms. The bar in reception is now closed but there is a hotel bar directly opposite. You won't find better value apartments
