Hotel Piena Kobe3.0 out of 5.0

We ended up booking a suite here as we were struggling to find any accommodation in the area for the nights we were in Kobe, so our expectations rose in line with the increased price. The room itself was really big and very nice, on the verge of looking a bit tired, but overall very good and very clean. Good amenities were provided, there was a small refrigerator and the room was comfortable. However, there were a number of issues that caused frustration during our stay. Firstly the WiFi was very poor. The hotel one dropped out almost as soon as we logged on and when we called the front desk someone very quickly came up with a router for our room which was greatly appreciated, but also dropped out repeatedly. We needed Internet access to book further accommodation for our trip so this was problematic. Additionally the noise from the 4 lane road below was disruptive, the glazing needed improving. Finally, the duvet was thick enough for a British winter, not a Japanese autumn! I think if we'd paid less these issues would have been a bit easier to swallow, so a double room here may be a good choice, but as it was they did tarnish an otherwise good stay.
Close enough to trains and buses so can access anywhere. Good shopping and restaurants v close by. Huge bed but a bit too hard. Air con doesn’t seem to be working properly. Not enough oxygen in the room. Nice strong shower. Clean. Good value for money.
Hotel is clean and good service from the staff. They have a great buffet breakfast and have won the award for best buffet breakfast for 5 years. Walking distance to shops and restaurant, also the train.
部屋はピエナスイートに泊まりました。 部屋は広く清潔で良かったです、どこもとてもきれいでした。 朝食がおいしかった。デザートが種類多く大変よかったです。 また是非泊まりたいです。 I stayed in the Piena Suite for 1 night. The room is spacious and clean, everything in the room is awesome. The breakfast buffet is delicious and I was surprised by the variety of tasty desserts. I would definitely want to stay here again in the near future.
Piena is north of the Sanomiya Station which is also close to Ijinkan a popular tourist place in Kobe. The rooms are small but clean. There is a nice restaurant in second floor, but we never tried, because it was booked solid for dinner (they are open to all people).
We stayed in Hotel Piena Kobe for a night. The hotel had a own car park and we could park our car in its own premise. The room size if not that big with everything is clean and tidy. The breakfast here is famous with a lot of variety. We enjoyed staying Hotel Piena Kobe and recommend the people who look for the accommodation in Kobe.
I stayed here for one night this past weekend. The room was not so large, but was adequate for two and had quite a large bathroom. The hotel seems to be famous online for its breakfast, which consisted of a large variety of Japanese and French dishes, as well as a huge bread and jam selection and an impressive array of desserts, all of which was delicious. The staff was very friendly and spoke English well. The hotel was conveniently located a less than 10 minute walk from Sannomiya Station in Kobe. It is also within walking distance of Shin-Kobe Station and various Kobe attractions such as the Kitano area, Nunobiki Herb Garden and Nunobiki Falls. Being so close to the station means there is a large variety of shops and restaurants nearby as well. All in all, I think this hotel is a good place to stay if you want to be near the action and enjoy some delicious food.
I've stayed in this hotel twice, and I have to say it's one of my favorites. The rooms that I've gotten have been quite large for Japan, with room for couches or at least a little sitting area. It's a cute place, very fancy-feeling, and the staff have always been incredibly helpful. The breakfast buffet is mentioned for obvious reasons - it's delicious. One of my friends who stayed with me called this "an ideal place to recover after a night clubbing in Sannomiya" - it's quite close to Sannomiya station and really does have a lovely atmosphere.
I don't agree with this 4.5 star rating. Don't be fooled by the fancy looking lobby and restaurant. The guest room is small (to be expected in japan) and very old. After returning from dinner our room was extremely hot and could not be cooled by the air conditioning unit. We called the front desk to notify them and someone came up to the room to open the window for us. Cracking a window that looks out directly into another building creates no breeze, therefore room remained too hot the duration of the night. It was a very uncomfortable stay and I would not recommend coming here during warm weather in the autumn when apparently you cannot cool your room. We did really enjoy the breakfast buffet but it was rather expensive at approximately $22.
Most reviewers mention the breakfast with good reason - it is a huge buffet with a cakes table capable of causing immediate diabetic comas. The rooms are also a decent size for Japan, and we were very comfortable in a King bed. We walked to the main attractions, but the hotel is conveniently located for public transport.
