I've stay at the hotel a few times the past couple of years for business. Hotel was recently renovated. Rooms have new furniture, carpet, cabinets, appliances, etc. Hot breakfast in the morning. Most notably, the staff are very helpful and professional. Good value. Recommend for business or leisure.
The staff is nice here and it is pet friendly, although I travel without them. The room was small but packed with everything you need - fridge, ironing board, toaster, closets etc. Here is the complaint - someone was cooking something or had food brought in close to my room that smelled awful and left a lingering foul smell in my room all night. This place is obviously a family stay property but I dont think I will stay here again. The people at the outside pool were partying and loud. A little on the trashy side to want to stay here solo.
Very nice and clean hotel - great staff - shoutout to Kadeem who helped us when we checked in - he was very attentive and went out of his way to make sure everything was correct! We will definitely be staying here again!
Con: Hotel is under renovation, so the breakfast is limited. Work starts about 8am so it's very noisy. Pro: Close to highway, and many restaurants, and shopping centers. Staff was helpful and professional. Room was clean.
The staff here is phenomenal. I have been here consistently since mid January and the staff is so nice, helpful, and professional. Travis and Joe at the front desk are always kind. The rooms are getting renovated but even so the suites are nice. Kitchenettes with all that pots, pans, utensils, and dishes necessary. The beds are a little hard and pillows too soft but the linens are nice. I will be staying here again.
We got the handicap suite with a queen bed and a sleeper sofa. We loved the space, roomie. The roll in shower with comfortable chair was very nice. Everything was immaculate! The staff was very friendly and helpful. When we were entering after checking in, the housekeeping gal who was off the clock, very graciously helped me with my things as I was struggling to push my husband in his w/c and get stuff to our room. The breakfast was nice enough. Great coffee. They are remodeling so hopefully the lingering odor of old cigarettes should go away. That is the only negative. The bed was a bit firmer than we have at home but everyone won't love the bed. Linens were lovely.
Usually I love TownePlace Suites, but this one is in need of updating and repair. The first room we got the microwave handle was broken, the dishwasher was dirty, the cabinets were old and worn down and to top it off the room smelled like an old dirty rental apt. We opened the windows to let it air out while we grabbed dinner, but that didn't help. They did move us to another room that smelled a little bit better, but it was still old and run down. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, which sometimes you just put up with, but the whole experience just made it even worse when you couldn't sleep at night. We travel a lot, and stay in over 20 hotels a year and this is by far the worst hotel I've stayed in for years. We have a Marriott CC so we usually stay in Marriott hotels and I haven't ever seen a Marriott property like this... Needless to stay we will not stay there again as there are several other Marriott properties in and near Knoxville that are very nice, clean, and have great service. We would have moved to another hotel, but we pre-paid for our room. I will now be more careful about pre-paying for a hotel. The location was good, but there are several other hotels in the same location to pick from.
I stayed at this hotel less than 24 hours and if I could give it zero stars, I WOULD!!!! My boyfriend and I stayed here 1/17/17 & we were scrambling to get out of there by 5am on 1/18/17. Just happened to be getting up early this morning and turned to look at this brown bed bug running across our white comforter. Thought we made it out unscathed but we both ended up with about 3-4 bites each!!! The room looked cleaned but don't be fooled, look under the mattress. Never staying at this hotel chain again!!!!
We needed a half way point with pet friendly rooms. Older property but still OK waffles, boxed cereal, and muffins for breakfast. A nice 24 HR Kroger around the corner with plenty of other retail and restaurants around.
This location is conveniently located near I-40/75 and 162 interchange. There is a mall a few miles down the street as well as numerous places to eat. This was a quiet location. Grab and go breakfast provided. This is fresh fruit, make your own waffles, and prepackaged muffins. They also have coffee and juice available. Comparable rates to other lodging in the area.
