service was average for the price but 4 bugs in 3 days was too much!!

No maid service & no towels. Called office told them situation.. No response.Walked to office & got towels.Next morning told them I was leaving. Would they refund me for the next 3 nights I would not be staying there? They HAVE NOT refunded any money..Don't be suckered into this place .

The hotel is filthy and I did not feel safe. I checked in at the front desk and the attendant was extremely rude--he did not utter more than 3 words to us in that exchange. We entered our room and did not take more than 5 steps inside before we decided there was no way we would survive the night in this hotel. There were no pillowcases on the pillows, the duvet cover was half on the floor, the floor had clearly never been vacuumed, and on the nightstand sat a used, water-stained envelope from housekeeping asking for tips. The smell was disgusting, not of smoke, but of mold. We demanded a refund at the front desk after the attendant begrudgingly offered us another room, but there is no way I would've stayed the night in this hotel. I am embarrassed to say I booked this hotel, serves me right for not reading reviews. I ate the 40 bucks and booked the Clarion Inn a few miles away. Please avoid--stay elsewhere.

The experience was okay, the rooms had more appliances than I thought and the sign looks very old and scary. The staff was not professional, and the breakfast was whack. It should not be called continental, other than that the room is a big upgrade from what the outside looks like, however could still be a little cleaner. Overall you get your value for what you pay for

When we arrived at the room the first thing we saw was a roach looking at us from the dresser. This room was a referral from a live chat representative on this site directly. My grandson opened the min fridge to find live bugs in there also. The whole room was full of roaches. We had to sleep with the lights on to keep them off of us. My daughter let the receptionist know and she acted like they didn't know there was a roach problem at the hotel. If you are thinking of booking a room here think again, it is not worth it. On a side note the room was also filthy hence the roach problem. After booking the room I looked further into the reviews for this hotel and found other people had also had problems with roaches here and this company stil refered us to this hotel.

Manager and employees went out of their way to be hospitable. I arrived too late to catch the bus to ball game. They volunteered to take me to the stadium, and gave me their cell phone number to call them when the game was over. I called, they came and picked me up even though I was for their opponent. I highly recommend the Knight's Inn.

Unfortunately, this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. We typically stay at a 2-star type hotel. I wouldn't rate this with even half of a star. My husband and I were travelling across country and happened to pick Knoxville the same night the University of Tenessee was playing a rival school. We were placed in the last room available, even though we had a reservation. The staff wanted to shampoo our carpet as we arrived, but decided not to because then we would have wet carpet. They were very apologetic of the room they were giving us, and I didn't get the impression they would stay in it themselves. The carpet was coming off the floor and walls, it smelled of smoke (a "non-smoking" room) and the window didn't open (pane glass, no sliding portion). My husband joked that if there wasn't a football game we could rent the room by the hour, and that we should probably spray bug spray before going to sleep. We peeled off the blankets, slept on top of the sheet and used our own pillows. The room held an awful stench that I didn't get used to all night. There was 1 chair, a table, a microwave, a TV/dresser, and a dorm size fridge. We left for dinner to get out of the place and left early the next morning (we decided to get breakfast on the road even though they offer continental breakfast & coffee). The staff was very friendly, but it did not make up for the lack of cleanliness.

The staff was nice and friendly. The cleanliness of the room wasn't the best, there were walls near the bathroom that had orange stains. the tub wasn't very clean. The top slide-in lock was broken. I thought that the shuttle for the UT VOLS home games was very convenient. Overall, it wasn't the best place to stay but it was good for a weekend in Knoxville.

Very Close to UT. There with older kids for Family Weekend at UT. Staff very friendly and accomadating!! Nice free continental breakfast. FREE cookout for guests on UT home game days. Shuttle service to and from UT stadium available for a small fee. Over-all cleanliness good, except a little more attention is needed in the bathrooms. Would stay there again myself.

Okay So When We First Pulled Up..We Saw A Girl Dressed Pretty Provocative And Some Guy That looked Homeless Sitting With Her On The Stairs! Once We Got Inside We Received Our Room Keys And Went Up To Our Rooms..We Came With Another Couple So We Asked If We Could Be Put In A Room Next To Them..We Were Told They Didn't Have Any Next To Each Other. So When Me And My Boyfriend Went Into Our Room The First Thing I Saw Were Roaches!! EWW.. I Screamed Of Course..I Was In My Room When I Screamed But Weird Enough The Lady Down Stairs Inside Heard Me And Was Up There In 2 Minutes..And Changed Our Room Next To Our Friends Like We Had Asked For Before..And It Looked Cleaner At First But Then I Looked At The Bottom Of The Door And There Was About 3inches At The Bottom Of The Door That Was Open To The Outside!! Thats Prob. Why They Had Bugs!! And There Were Bugs In That Room Too!! I Counted Like 6 And Thats All That I Saw...but That Doesn't Mean There Weren't More..I Had to Shower On A Towel In The Shower Bc The Tub Was Black And Grimmy At The Bottom.. There Were Spider Webs Every Where!! And Stuff Was Broken..No Ash Tray In A Smoking Room!! Just Terrible..I Would Never Stay Here Again Or Tell Anyone Else Too!! One Good Thing Was That We Were Really Close To The UT Stadium..And Got There Pretty Easy!!

Woke up with cockroaches on the bed. Went to take a shower and more cockroaches came through the ceiling by the shower head. Tried to get a refund for the prepaid trip, but the hotel refused- blaming Orbitz.

I came to Knoxville for a weekend getaway, and--considering my primary needs were decent location to restaurants and sites and price--my needs were met exceedingly. Decent restaurants were around and the Zoo and other tourist attractions were close enough to avoid a discouragingly long car ride. The hotel was very close to the highway and easy to spot. The hotel staff was friendly; and though they could not answer all my questions, they helped me find a way to answer to get more information. The rooms were decent for the price I paid and were satisfactorily clean.

Upon arrival, the parking lot was being resurfaced, so we could not get to our room to unpack, we had to come back later, not the best start!! To our dismay when we did finally get into our room to unload, while settling in, we discovered dog faeces on the floor under a chair, and dog food & trash under the end of the bed. We were moved to another room, but obviously this whole experience made us extremely uncomfortable about the level of hygiene in the hotel. The staff were friendly & apologetic, but this did not help appease our discomfort at the situation.

The rating was 5 out of 5 positive reviews, so I tried it. But when we (my wife and I) entered the room it smelled bad, musty or moldy and maybe cigarette smoke though it was supposed to be non smoking, and the bed cover, the chairs, even the walls felt dirty. We were so tired from traveling we lay on the bed to rest for a few minutes, but soon decided it was not acceptable. But since we had "used" the room they would not refund our money. We called Orbitz and got them to cancel and refund us for the other 2 days I had reserved, but the one night was nonrefundable. We found other accomodations on our own. If you just need a cheap room and don't mind the smell, then maybe you'll do OK here, but my advise is go somewhere else.

Travelled to Knoxville with a friend for a concert. We got to the Knights Inn late in the evening (about 10 pm) and the woman at the reception was incredibly nice and friendly. She knew who I was, had our key ready, and even came to our room to ask if we needed anything at all. We also encountered staff the next day who were very friendly and gave us lots of tips for food, where a Wal-Mart was, etc.

Staff was quite friendly and helpful, the guests quite quiet, and location very centralized. We had a great visit with family and plan to return for my father's birthday in January.
