The room smelled like someone just smoked in it. Holes in the wall, water was milky out of the faucet. Towel rack was broken. No lamp shades. Blinker was dirty. People yelling. Cars running right next to room. No breakfast, even though it said on site. Sketchy parking lot, dark. Plaster patch on wall. Door broken. Would have spent $10-20 more for a better stay somewhere else. Has to Fabreeze the room. Heater stunk.

It was a nice little place nothing really spectacular. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. There is a nice little Mexican restaurant in the same parking lot that has enormous servings. It also turns into a nightclub after 11:30. The restaurant is far enough away from the hotel to where you are not bothered by the music if you weren't looking to dance tonight away.

Walls to thin could hear the couple next to us having sex. We heard phone calls in another room both ends of the call. Poor breakfast without anyone on the desk in the morning

The hotel is Horrible condition and dirty. The room smelled of cigarette smoke. We found dog poop right in front of our room.

The price of the hotel is pretty good and when I got there I got asked if I would like to get upgraded without an extra charge so that's a plus the only bad part was that I could hear all the noise from the room next door and when people were coming up and down the stairs but overall is a good hotel

The room was ok but the bath tub was just very old and dirty. Breakfast could have more variety of food (fruit, yoghurts, perhaps boiled eggs).

I love the place, have been coming here for years - when there was an actual steakhouse and working pool. The property is so underutilized that it's sad. There were almost no cars there on the Monday night I stayed, but I managed to get placed the room right next to a bunch of guys drinking out of the back of a pick up truck. For a woman traveling alone, it wasn't too comforting. Also, breakfast was terrible. Sliced bread, stale cereal. Coffee was fine, but there was nothing fresh or healthy. The room was clean but there were no amenities - coffee maker, bottled water, even cups. I think there are new owners over the past year or two. They should do more with what they've got.

Not bad. Located on a hilltop. Nice big room with nice furniture. TV was old tube model with lousy reception and no movie channels, Pool was closed and the guy at the desk gave excuses and blamed the government for requiring the filter system to be upgraded, which they apparently did not want to do. Close to Woodstock and the Catskills which was the man reason I went there. What do you want for $60?

It false advertised on website- It states it has a restaurant and a pool- Well the restaurant is closed and so is the pool! Yes it is cheaper during week but be smart and Spend more!! The breakfast was terrible/ The water was sulfur and you got out of shower feeling dirty and Greasy!

It was nice in the lobby area. The room was okay, but could have provided bigger towels, and one extra toilet paper. There was no alarm clock to wake you up in the morning. We only met the guy working behind the counter he was nice. My wife, and I were looking forward to the swimming pool they advertised online. When we got there the pool was closed due to technical problems. We stayed, but we were disappointed about that. In all it was a okay hotel. Also, there was no ashtray in the room for smoking. My wife, and I came there to get away from the stress in our lives for one night only. There was also a drunk guy who came up to us he said he works here. That we thought was odd that he drinks, and works here. This is all I wish to say.

New management, again. The restaurant is abandoned according to desk clerk and the pool is closed. Very convenient, and a really nice location. I've been going here for years, and there have been several different owners/managers, with varying degrees of quality. The rooms are okay, but have that motel room smell and old bathrooms, which doesn't bother me. The breakfast is very limited. For the money, great. Go to a diner.

Nothing special. Overpriced but good location. The shower was cold. The water did not heat up fast enough.

I've stayed in some dives in my time, but this was the worst motel experience of my life. Really. The room had a terrible smell, like a mixture of dirt, smoke, and chemicals, and EVERYTHING was dirty. The bathroom was disgusting. The carpet was disgusting. We didn't walk barefoot. And we slept in our clothes because the sheets were so gross. How this place can get away with asking people to shell out $80-100 for a room is inconceivable. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! THE OWNER IS A HOTEL SLUMLORD!

It was regular. Nothing special . Should be lower priced.

Room smelled horrible and the bathtub was brown with soap scum, all the channels on the tv were fuzzy, every time someone in the building flushed the toilet it made our toilet run. The housekeeper walked into our room while we were sleeping with the do not disturb sign on the door, then we watched her take our trash across the parking lot and throw it on the side of the street!. The next day before we checked out she was peaking in our window cause the do not disturb sign was still up and we had 3 hours before check out time. The one and only good thing about the place was the very friendly front desk staff. Overall a bad experience for a higher priced hotel room.

When I booked I said I would like a baby crib. I called a couple of days before to confirm. They don't have them. A pool was advertised. Under construction. If you are going to pretend you can effectively book rooms for people, you need to know what the hotel offers. If not, the white pages is better as you just need to call to confirm everything.

If you're looking for a lower-priced, quiet and clean place to rest for a few nights, then you could do a lot worse around the Kingston, NY area. The location seems more remote now that the restaurant/bar on the property has gone out of business. The place is popular with groups, so maybe check to see if there are any student or sports groups staying there when you plan to book. Apparently things tend to get a little rowdy when that's the case. Kids, ya know. Needs a facelift, but the value and quality aren't terrible.

The Kingston Skytop Rodeway Inn is in a nice quiet location with a great view. The rooms are adequate and could use some repair and updating. The pool was in need of better daily cleaning. The continental breakfast did not match the photograph provided and was on the light side with only cereal and packaged baked goods. the staff was polite but not outgoing. Rooms were difficult for a handicapped person to go in and out of even though they were on the ground level. No "handicapped" rooms were at this location.

We came here after a horrible experience elsewhere. While there were some bugs that slipped into the room. The room was great and did the trick. Gave us a place to lay our heads. The pool was nice and the television channels entertaining. We might not have had a great review had we not had a horrible experience elsewhere. The staff was polite and very friendly.

The toilet ran all weekend even after asking it to be fixed, the front window wouldn't lock until we asked for help to get it locked. At first the clerk said "we have the stick in there so it can't be opened." He only came to get it locked after we demanded it be locked or be given another room. There was no grab handle in the tub/shower. The finish was flaking off of the tub. The continental breakfast, consisted of Fruit Loops and Cheerios and coffee, we went elsewhere for breakfast. We won't be returning on our next trip to Kingston.
