I stayed here last night, my room was very affordable and clean. All I needed. My only complaints are the ac didn't work at all and we were sweating all night, the heater was cranked right up and I couldn't shut it off. You have to have a way to regulate the temperature in your room or you don't sleep well if at all. Also when booking the front desk girl asked me if I wanted a single king or two doubles, I said King. My room had a single double bed. Not a huge deal but don't sell me a king then give me a small bed. I never make it to breakfast so was pleasantly surprised to see at 11am there was still some muffins and juice available
I moved here to the econolodge Oct 30th,The staff and manager are all UNBELIEVABLE,They are so friendly and helpful,,full of fun and truly care about there guests,Our lady who cleans the room is FABULOUS,she dont miss a beat,The room is very quiet and clean and as mentioned before ,,these people go out of there way to make you feel comfortable and at home.Yes some areas still need renos but its totally comfortable and clean. The morning breakfast if great as well,waffles,,muffins,4 kinds of juice, yogurt, toast and all the condiments.4 kinds of fruit,,there is no limit,I will miss this place and the staff and manager when i return to my summer home,Thanks Econolodge for all you have done ,
Had the opportunity to actually find a decent place to stay in Kingston Ontario. So, now I know where to stay while in Kingston Ontario. Central location, comfortable beds and friendly staff, willing to help you and answer any questions you might have about functions within the city of Kingston Ontario.
Disappointing. Found it to be a tired hotel and has passed it's time. Location is in a seedy end of town and quite a distance to touristy area. Room was clean but dated and there was mold in the corners of the tub. Breakfast was typical of Choice Inn properties but better than most I've seen. I would pass on this accommodation.
Our family stayed at Econo Lodge for 1 night. It was not a very great experience: the room is not very clean, the garbage can have some trash when we check in. Bathroom is not clean as well with no counter space. Breakfast choice is very limited. I'll not recommend this hotel to my friends.
Well the good parts first.Good location, comfortable bed BUT room was dark, musty and had an unidentifiable odour from the AC area Terrible view and only had a half curtain sheer beneath the over drapes! For someone with asthma or breathing problems it is not good Supposed renovation up coming in Nov.Hmm! might need to start from the ground up
We spent nearly $200 for a smelly, musty, dirty room- sticky countertops, super old carpet and couch. I don't even have high standards- I was disappointed. I won't stay there again. Staff seemed nice- bed was comfy just not comfortable in the room.
Stayed for 2 nights recently on a mini getaway. We wanted to be able to walk down to the water as well as to the restaurants/pubs downtown and this hotel was the cheapest option that fit the bill. We arrived very early and had to wait for a room but they were able to accommodate us a couple hours early which was greatly appreciated. All staff that we met were very pleasant. Our room and the public areas were all quite clean. The beds were very comfortable. Rooms are on the small side and the bathroom was quite small but we managed well enough. Didn't hear ANY noise around us over the sound of the A/C, but I don't think they were overly busy on a Monday and Tuesday night. There was a fair gap at the bottom of the door to our room which allowed a fair bit of light into the room at night which may or may not be a bad thing depending on your point of view. I appreciated the nightlight after an evening at the pub! Breakfast choices were minimal but, again, we managed well enough. Overall, this is a very basic hotel but, for the price, we were very satisfied and would certainly stay here again.
Our visit was on the Monday evening at the end of the May 24th long weekend. As a result, the place was almost deserted. Our room was on the back side of the building but facing into the three-sided courtyard. The reception staff was quite friendly. There is a free light breakfast, including a do-it-yourself waffle maker.
Fast and friendly check-in. Very clean room. Good curtains to block out light (for solid sleep). Quiet (no noise from other rooms). Central location in upcoming neighbourhood. A variety of services within walking range. I recommend to anyone who seeks comfort and value.
