The Wifi network was poor and kept breaking. The manager said he’ll try to fix it, but nothing changed.

This is much more of a motel. Grounds are nice. Not located near anything. One you are there you are captive. We did have two nice meals at the restaurant. The room is classic old style motel room. The bathroom and the sheets and towels were very clean. I paid $150 for the night because it was Labor Day weekend but anything more than $100 would be too much unless there was a big golf event or something like that. The staff was friendly and eager to help. I think Orbitz rated it a three star which is really pushing it. Solid two star basic motel with a nice restaurant. The pool looked very clean and inviting. The surrounding area is beautiful.

I loved this place. The room was very clean, linens fresh, location charming and views absolutely beautiful. The worst thing I can say about this place is that it is a bit dated -think "the resort in Dirty Dancing"- but we found it absolutely fun and charming. Will absolutely stay again. Oh, bonus...no prepackaged pastries for breakfast. Served 8-9am, French toast, pancakes, eggs and bacon, sausage, toast and home fries all cooked to order. Dinner was also great. We arrived later in afternoon and we're too tired to go back out for dinner. Burger was delicious and done to my specifications. Fries were crisp and hot. Wish I had a longer stay to try all the German specialties. Maybe next year- I will definitely be back!

Check-in started a little confusingly, but I soon learned that they were shutting down for the season, and I was a lone last guest. Nonetheless, they were warm and welcoming. The surroundings were a beautiful forest in the Catskills. While the closest restaurants had shut down for the Fall, I was given directions to a wonderful restaurant in a nearby town. Next morning, the owners of the Lodge saw me off with a very nice breakfast. A good experience over-all.

Hello. I am sorry for the issue with the wifi during your stay with us. It turns out that our local internet provider was having difficulties and it was out of our control. We hope you enjoyed your stay with us despite the wifi problems.

Thank you for taking the time to review. Yes, we have been here for 50 years and some of the structures have been here longer than us. We pride ourselves on great hospitality, great food and spectacular scenery and golf. We are continually making improvements such as new mattresses and bedding on a regular basis to ensure pleasant experiences. Once again thank you for your review and we hope to see you again.
