Our family had an absolute blast at this vacation rental! From the moment we arrived, it felt like the perfect getaway spot. Even with the cooler weather, the kayaks were a huge hit and so much fun for everyone. Sitting out on the dock with the sun shining on us was pure bliss — peaceful, relaxing, and exactly what we needed.We ended the day with a fun family pickleball match followed by grilling fajitas together, which made for the perfect evening. The property truly offered everything we needed for both relaxation and quality family time.We’re already looking forward to coming back! Highly recommend for families wanting a mix of fun and relaxation.

My family's whole experience here was great. The house was big enough for all of us and the bunk house was excellent for my oldest Sons family. They loved fishing off of the deck. The S'mores at the fire pit was very special. It was perfect.

2025 Annual Bluebonnet Sitings

My family stayed here during SpringBreak. We had an amazing time. The property was on the water with available kayaks and a pickleball court that was used daily. The house was very clean and furnished very nicely, just about every kitchen appliance you could think of was available. We visit this area every year and have never enjoyed a property as much as we did here. We will be back.

Weekend Getaway

We had a wonderful experience at The Bird Nest. Plenty of space for the ten of us with nice amenities. We enjoyed kayaking, pickle ball, basketball, and relaxing around the fire pit in the backyard. Thank you for such relaxing accommodations in a cute, safe neighborhood.

Christmas 2024

We stayed here for a Christmas family gathering and it was perfect. Plenty of dishes to eat from and cook with, good countertop space, a clean fridge, and room for the coffee pot one of the families brought for Espressos. Enough clean towels for everyone and the separate cabin worked well for one family. So very pleased with our stay.

Visiting Texas Family

The Bird's Nest was a pleasant place to call home for a few days. The house is well laid out. The kids loved the bunkhouse. Despite the normal humidity, we were able to play some basketball and pickleball on the sports court. The included kayaks were fun. All in all, it was a great getaway at a nice home.

Family Fun Trip

Our family of six stayed for three winter nights. We enjoyed the pickleball court, basketball court, fire pit, boat house, and fishing from the deck. The fish were small. We caught bigger fish from the pier at Inks Lake State Park. The house had everything we needed. HEB is nearby.
