A little pricier than other available lodging in the Sequoias but meals provided and amenities really made it worth it. Loved our family suite and additional bathroom/showers right in the same building. Pool/spa does close at dusk (not 24 hours) and we saw a large gathering at the camp fire (without social distancing or masks). We ended up eating our meals in our room to avoid crowds.

The property was beautiful and very picturesque. The fact that meals were included was wonderful. Everyone was very friendly. My only complaint is that there was extremely limited WiFi, mostly only in the lobby. Because of the location of the hotel, there is little to no cell service, and lack of WiFi all over the property is frustrating. Especially when you do not have TVs in the room.

The meals were beyond my expectation. They were excellent.

Smores, dinner, wine and cheese. Filled with a lot of activities such as boating on the lake

Amazing that you offered 3 meals which was so great and convenient and cost saving for us. Really saved us time and money we had more leisure time to enjoy our vacation there.

Wonderful stay. Great facilities, very friendly staff.

We enjoyed the stay very much, would rather stay longer and explore the park more.

Buffet area too crowed. Good selection limited a very rustic place with one amenity. Wi fi which was so slow it was unusable

For $300 a night, we got an unfurnished cabin w/o AC or bathroom, in the center of Sequoia National Park in early July peak season. However, this includes free breakfast, lunch (they also provide packed sandwich bag w/ snacks and fruits if your reservation includes it and you order the night before), dinner (salmon, rib, salad, ... It ends at 7PM, arrive at least 30 min before that!), as well as kayak, stand-up paddle, pingpong, foosball, ... Kayaking in the small lake is fun and relaxing. At night, they have camp fire and marshmallow for kids too.

The best part about this lodge is that it is located right in between Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks in a perfect location to explore both parks with minimal wasted time in driving. It has a summer camp feel and includes three meals a day (with a paper bag lunch to bring on hikes). I spent 4 days in the area and was able to cross all of the most popular hikes and sites off of my list. Downsides are minimal and easily overlooked. No TV in the room, some would call the rooms a little "dated" but I only used to the room to sleep, WIFI worked in lobby but hardly in the room. Upsides are the best location, excellent breakfast to start your day of hiking, excellent dinner, friendly staff. I drove by the 3 other lodging choices (StonyCreek and Wuksachi and John Muir) located in and around the parks and they seemed to be just as "dated." There are no Ritz Carlton's or Hilton's or other high end resorts in this area but I do think this lodge is one of the best in the park vicinity. Overall, I had a great time and would stay again at the Montecito.

We spend one night at 2 bedroom lake view unit. In overall that was nice. We booked 2 bedroom unit with one king-size bed room and bunk beds room. The bunk beds were totally uncomfortable-too small, too low, and very tottering. We used the sofa instead. Besides this inconvenience, the resort is very nice and pleasant I will definitely come back and recommend this place to my friends

Great room, very good food, nice staff - definitely recommend

Sequoia NP, has twisty roads that can eat hours. Being inside the park, is nearly essential. The location is amazing. Liked the food too. Had a wonderful time and would like to go back.

I appreciated that meals were inclusive which prevented me from having to drive to various restaurants for meals. I also appreciated the cleanliness of the room. The staff were very kind and informative and the guided activities (eg. hikes) made my ability to navigate aspects of the park easier.

Pros: stated rate is for full board, which is very nice since there are no other places to eat in the National Park. Buffet style and farm house type seating were cozy and nice. Cons: don't pack a heavy suitcase! You dont know how many steps you might have to lug up stairs and down stairs just to find your room. Was happy did not rent individual cabin because the walk to my room's ensuite bathroom was far better than others who had to walk outside to find their bath house and toilets. Smallest bathroom have ever seen AND the stinkiest shower curtain I have ever smelled. Wifi worked yet had many signal dropouts.

If your kids are learning to cross-country ski, this is the place for beginners!

The lodge is a little dated, but we were pleasantly surprised at the room and other facilities. We especially enjoyed the location.
