I booked 6 cottages with a total of 33 ppl. Everyone was very happy with cottages, No complaints from anyone. Pub down the road was great, delicious food and helpful staff. We were running late on checkin so the manager left the keys in each cottage and it was perfect. Will definitely come back.

My husband and I brought my mother away with us for a short getaway. We had a warm welcome at reception and then went to the cottage which was lovely. It was spacious and well equipped and very clean. It had everything we needed and we enjoyed having a fire in the fireplace. The area was peaceful and quiet and the location was ideal. It was a short drive to all of the parks and the town, and Lidls was just down the road for supplies. I could nit-pick little things that could do with repair/updating, but really they did not impact our stay and we all really enjoyed it. It would be a fabulous place for a family as it was so spacious and had so many beds + two bathrooms. A lovely picnic table in the private back garden was perfect for a summer BBQ. We would definitely return.

Having stayed here a couple of years back, we said we would again as it was better value for group. From the moment you open the door you noticed the repairs that were needed. The cottages are now very uncomfortable. Couch and beds are so bad. Curtains don’t work properly and light come into room early morning. The bathrooms are dirty. The bed/bathroom smelled of damp/musk. The light outside back where picnic table was didn’t work. Door handle fell off! Only 1 hand towel per bed. NO other towels for a 6 day booking. It’s literally the worst rented cottages I’ve been to!

This cosy cottage was a little gem. Warm clean and very spacious with 3 large bedrooms one of which was ensuite sleeps up to 8 comfortably. Lots of clean towels and hot water all day, very comfortable beds and huge rooms along with fully kitted kitchen made this the best accommodation I've ever had in Killarney. Rafal at reception were very friendly and helpful and always on call. Local bar on site was excellent Jim Babs and staff took very good care of us and even opened up esp to cook breakfast for our stag party. Highly recommend you stay here and I'll be back

I'm just back from one of the best Christmasses I've had in a long time! The Old Killarney Cottages really made it worthwhile. The cottages are not that old but when you're inside and the fire is lit and the cottage is warm, you feel like you never want to leave! The cottage was clean, warm snd welcoming when we arrived, as was the guy at the reception desk (in the main cottage). I can't think of a bad thing to say about the place at all! The house was warm when we arrived and I simply didnt want to leave this morning (our last day). Thank you for a wonderful Christmas!!

Firstly met by very friendly staff, very easy to check in and out and good easy instructions given. My cottage was close to the restaurant so that was easy. Cottage can sleep 8 but only 2 of us stayed. Its only a short drive to the town centre which was great.

I travelled down with a few friends for the weekend and we based ourselves in the cottages.. Worked out well when split between 6 people. There's plenty of space with 2 double rooms one end suite and another room with 2 single beds. The other 2 beds are located on the upper level like a mesenine area. Open fire was very cosi... Pub just 2 minutes away does lovell food at a reasonable price and a nice pint too. Has a pool table and dart board also. A taxi into killarney costs about 10 euro which is not to bad between 6. We stayed in no 12 and there was loads of hot water... For a group looking to Base themselves close yo kilarney and who head off for the day it's ideal. If your looking for luxury pampering this is not for you.

Just back from a week long stay in old Killarney village. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 toddlers. On booking the place many months ago I thought it was a little too expensive but went ahead anyway as we wanted a house with plenty of room for the children. Checked in an were charged an extra €42 for electricity for the week (complete rip off considering the price we'd paid. Got to the semi detatched cottage which was very roomy for our small group which was good. Fitted out with washing machine , dishwasher etc and a tv with saorview channels. But..the place is very tired looking, old dirty couches, windows were filthy, carpets filthy, and just in general need of a makeover. Out the back was 2 picnic tables side by side which we discovered we had to share with next door. Could have at least partitioned off the gardens for the price of the place. The playground only has access through other peoples gardens (which nobody seems to mind)..had a bar on site where we ate once, food was decent and served by a nice friendly young lady..The place is in a nice location for Killarney, is quiet, but all in all it needs serious money spent on it to bring it up to a decent standard..Do yourself a favour and book a family room in a hotel instead, it would cost about the same and at least it would be clean.

This was my 1st time staying at the Old Killarney Cottages and I wasnt disappointed. The man in reception was very friendly and helpful, the overall area of the cottages was very clean and quite. The cottage itself was absolutely spotless, large open plan kitchen and living room, 4 bedrooms, 1 of which was a loft area which the kids just loved, it was like their own cabby house. Crisp white sheets and bedding, all which were freshly put on for us. Cottage was warm and had every household equipment anyone would need. There is a bar/restaurant on the grounds of the cottages. The only negative I have was that it was very far out of Killarney town, I would have preferred to have been able to walk into town in the evening for a stroll.

We stayed here about 15 years ago and unfortunately it appears nothing has changed and all they perform is the most essential maintenance. The thatch roofs are admittedly cosmetic but have really suffered from the lack of upkeep. The running rust stains on the equipment mounted to the building shows years of neglect. The internet? Simply stated, it does not work. The throughput varied from 0 to a maximum of 100k bits, 1/10 of 1 megabit.... if it worked it was super slow. If you need higher bandwidth you can visit the onsite pub where I was able to connect @ 10 megs. It is a real pain when you Are trying to share pictures with the folks back home. On the plus side the cottages are centrally located and convenient to all of the attractions Killarney has to offer.
