This is a great location. Very quiet, but close to most everything in Wailea and surrounding areas. The condo was very clean and well kept, with many upgrades. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely love Wailea Ekolu and have stayed here several times over the past 10 years. Unfortunately on this trip we ended up in a unit that has seen better days and is quite dated and lacking modern technology. The unit is in a wonderful location with an amazing view and spacious lanai and contains all the accessories necessary for a home away from home. However, the big turnoff was when we discovered the condo was infested with roaches, which we needed to dispose of several nights before bed and also sleep with the lights on to try to keep them from coming out at nighttime. We brought this to the attention of the property manager and they advised this is very common for Hawai’i, which I understand, but am still not comfortable dealing with this while I’m trying to relax on vacation. The property managers sent maintenance to put out roach traps and to spray the area, which unfortunately didn’t help much so we just had to deal with it. I believe the property managers were very professional and tried to be as accommodating as possible but in my mind they need to be more proactive about this as guests shouldn’t have to deal with these concerns. We still absolutely love Wailea Ekolu and will be back, but will never stay in this unit again

Bad experience

Great location with beautiful ocean view, but there is a smell of brains that shouldn't be there. When we complained to the manager an older staff member not only interrupted and said he did not accept our disappointment but opened the door and told me to get out! This is the first time I have encountered hotel receptionists who are so rude and arrogant while traveling around. Although the manager dealt with it afterwards, the good memories of the stay were completely ruined.

Decent property with quirks. Lanai light is motion sensor that stays on all of 2 seconds...as soon as you put your hand down from activating, it shuts off so unable to sit out at night. Light switches that seemed to run 'nothing.' Never did find the switch for kitchen lights (only under cabs) but since coming to a different property, I feel the under cabs are meant to stay on and run by a switch. My biggest issue was the 'please remove shoes' which we did, walked around to get acquainted and our socks were black by the time we sat down. Keep in mind this property is quite a distance to the beaches. All in all, served the purpose of our stay.
