We loved the house. It was beautiful and so was the yard. We unfortunately were there when there was a lot of rain and so the mosquitoes were so bad that we could not be outside the entire visit without being bitten.
One thing to note is that the guest bedroom is open at the top of the wall to the rest of the house. This was not a huge deal to us but if privacy is important then it could be an issue.
The water the house is on is somewhat enclosed (it seems to be called a sound) and there were a number of sinking boats on the water, which to us, ruined the ambiance to a certain extent. We still liked taking out the kayaks that the house offered.
It was really cool being next to the dolphin encounter. We could see them well from the top of the yard but couldn’t stay out long because of the bugs. The sunsets were beautiful too but again, we couldn’t stay out long, even with bug spray.
We also loved being so close to John Pennecamp State Park for snorkeling and Mrs. Mac’s is right down the road, which has the absolute best key lime pie.
