I stayed at Murphy's for 8 nights in October 2017. My room was large, very comfortable and clean. The staff is so friendly and helpful, Mary at the front desk is a treasure! The location is fantastic: walking distance to everything in town as well as bus and train stations to take you elsewhere. The food in the restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced. The staff in the pub are all very friendly and accommodating. I have been to Ireland several times and Murphy's was the most pleasant place I have stayed. I hope that I can return to lovely Killarney one day, and when I do, I will stay at Murphy's again.

Cheap as chips Friendly as you can be Great food Freshly cooked breakfast Comfortable beds Siné I stayed here with my colleague €70 for us both with bed and breakfast , you can eat downstairs in the bar at night or in the Manor restaurant upstairs . This is the best in class modern style type B and B you will get nowadays it's actually like a hotel but with a warm and friendly B and B feeling

Stayed in Murphy’s last week with a private tour group. I found the room very comfortable and clean. We dined in the Resturant and found our meal excellent. The staff were very Resturant staff were friendly and very helpful. Even the owner Sean was on hand to make sure we were enjoying our food. They were great music in the bar which my clients enjoyed themselves. I would without any hesitation recommend Murphy’s for accommodation and food. Will be back. Thank you Sean.

We spent 1night in Killarney. The Murphy's Gesthouse is in a fantastic location right in the middle of town. Room was clean and Staff very friendly. Good, freshly made breakfast. The car park can be a problem only.

This guesthouse sits above Murphy's pub in a location conveniently located between the bus and train stations as well as the downtown area of Killarney. The room offers basic amenities including a bed, tv, water kettle and bathroom. The bed was comfy and although the pub below was quite lively the sound didn't carry up to my room (or I was simply too jet lagged to notice those two nights). Everything was comfortable and clean. The price per night was one of the higher prices during my trip around the island and didn't include any extras such as breakfast or the like. I went to the pub once but did not take advantage of the restaurant. Everyone working there with whom I interacted was quite pleasant. They were kind enough to allow me to keep my luggage there after I checked out until I needed to go to the bus station mid-afternoon.

Recently we decided to pop into Murphy's for breakfast and pleasantly surprised how good the setup was. With access to as much juice and coffee as we wanted. The breakfast was tasty, good value for money and we were constantly asked if we wanted more toast. The staff couldn't have been more attentive if they tried and really made us welcomed. I would happily come back here for breakfast and probably will do in the future.

The breakfast service in the bar was one of the rudest i have ever experienced. The manager appeared to have gotten out of the wrong side of the bed and the customers were going to suffer. She had a real attitude problem. My wife asked for a fresh pot of tea and was told "it was coming".She asked for a fresh cup as the tea was cold and was told "wait a minute". I asked the manager if there was a toaster to for me to toast the wheaten bread as no toast had been provided and the retort was "what sort of stupid question was that, of course there is a toaster?" I have never been insulted to this extent in any hotel around the world. It is not as if she was busy as there were only 7 guests for breakfast and there now will be two less.Clearly i will not be revisiting this hotel, which is a pity as her attitude soured the visit to an otherwise pleasant hotel. The Irish are supposed to be known for their friendliness and charm. This lady did not display these qualities and unless she is retrained or replaced the hotel will have even fewer guests.

Murphy's of Killarney has the feel of an old gold-rush hotel in the California mountains. The rooms and appointments are simple, but it is OK. We liked the Irish breakfast every morning, and the trad music playing in the bar. The WiFi is not so good, but they have a lounge on the 1st floor which has best reception. An amazingly good restaurant is housed on the 2nd floor — Lord Kenmare's — but that the subject of another review. Since it was our honeymoon, they sent up champagne — very nice!

We were very impressed with our rooms and the full Irish Breakfast served daily at Murphy's Guesthouse. Carrie was wonderful and friendly each morning at breakfast and brought a smile to our days in Killarney! The hotel staff was great! The rooms were clean and quiet, the location was ideal, and the price was very affordable! Murphy's Bar also adjoins the Guesthouse and is filled with lively music and fun for everyone! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Murphy's Guesthouse and will stay here again!

We recently stayed at Murphy's during a trip to Ireland. Our room was very clean and quiet, and included breakfast in the attached pub. The guest house also has an elevator which made it easy to haul our luggage to our room. The staff could not have been nicer - especially friendly and helpful. Great traditional music in the pub at night too! We'd definitely stay here again.
