The SECOND BEDROOM, divided by the stairs, has a full bed on one side and a twin bed that can transform into a small sofa on the other.

You are welcome to explore the fenced grounds of Kernville Ranch. Take a soothing dip in our all-natural cedar hot tub, plunge into our private rivers swimming hole, experience the thrill of the zip line, and feel free to use firewood from the woodpile for cozy evenings.

The ranch spans about 15 acres, featuring two additional available listings. This is the Mountain View. Meadowlands Cottage is attached to this house through corridor off the kitchen with a locked and insulated door. Meadowlands Cottage is one bedroom listing that can be rented separately. We encourage guests to connect with fellow vacationers. I hope you get a chance to meet Reid, a retired sheriff, during your stay. He runs One Spade Youth Packers, a charity that fosters a sense of community. For larger groups, consider renting the entire ranch for an exclusive experience.

While exploring our barns and hay loft, exercise caution, as these areas contain tractors and farm equipment essential for ranch operations. Rest assured, your safety is paramount, and our groundskeeper, ensures a secure environment.

Say "Hi" to the horses that graze in the ranches meadows, the upper grounds offer expansive grass lawns and over 100 mature shade trees. Enjoy your stay in this serene and secure countryside setting.

My husband and I are thrilled to share Kernville Ranch's enchantment with others. Our approach is a delicate one – we renovated the house and its surroundings to offer families a comfortable and enjoyable experience while safeguarding the historical charm of the Ranch, where wildlife thrives.

The magic of our property may reveal itself in unexpected ways. Perhaps a herd of deer will grace you with their presence as you witness the sunset over the water meadows. Or your children may frolic through the grass, their hands cradling a newfound frog from the woodpile. Nature and wildlife will undoubtedly make their presence known during your stay.

Here at our ranch, we are home to horses and mules, and a gentle river flows through our land. Abundant water keeps our grounds lush and green, offering a refreshing contrast to the surrounding area. Above the river we have expansive lawns and towering shade trees, providing a welcome respite from the heat.

Separated by the babbling brook that meanders through the property, the remainder of the ranch opens into flood meadows where horses and mules roam freely. Ducks, herons, and ospreys grace our skies, painting a picturesque scene against the backdrop of pink-hued mountains. It truly is a place of remarkable beauty.

Kernville Ranch offers three distinct listings: Meadowlands Cottage is attached to this listing via a corridor with a insulated locked door; and the charming Shinny Spartan a few hundred yards away. For larger groups, we have a listing to rent the entire ranch.

Please note that the outdoor spaces are shared among guests staying in the various listings. Our dedicated groundskeeper, Reid, visits twice daily to care for the horses and ensure the property is well-maintained.

Please note that I do not reside on-site and will not be physically present during your stay. Nevertheless, I am a conscientious and engaged host. My husband and I love sharing Kernville Ranch. We have both been involved in horses and hospitality for over 20 year. We run a dude ranch in Hollywood when we are not up here in Kernville fixing things. I won the prestigious Hero Award with another well known vacation rental site for hosting in 2014. I take my role as your host very seriously.

I can’t guarantee that something won’t go wrong with your stay, its a big historic property and things happen, but I do my very best to make sure that you have a wonderful time in my care. I know how precious leisure time with your loved ones is and I can promise to to my very best to make sure you love it here.

Beautiful place to get away and enjoy a rustic ranch. The 15 acres create a peaceful outdoor space to explore the horses, creek and historic trees. We loved walking the ranch everyday. Great location! We were able to hike, bike and fish all within a few miles. We will return ❤️

Great get away
Minutes from shopping and restaurants in kernville and secluded enough to enjoy the silence. The cedar hot tub over looking the horse pasture was fun. The place was well stocked with everything we needed and the host was very responsive. With family living close by we will be staying again.

A Dreamy Forest Ranch Retreat
I cannot express how much i enjoyed this property. Everything inside is very cabine themed and visually appealing/cohesive. Adorable property. I loved spending my afternoons visting with the horses and mules and handing out on the hammock. The sunsets were oh so pretty. This place truly felt like an escape from day to day life, where you could just escape from the normal rush and world, all while still having excellent cell service and wifi. I was in town for work, and this made my time feel like a vacation anyway. Amelia is a gracious and kind host, and quickly responds to concerns or questions. I immensely enjoyed my time here and have already booked my next stay!

One night retreat
This property is so dreamy! A cozy cabin with all you ask for. Crisp sheets, soft towels, plenty of throw blankets to warm up with if you enjoy the outdoors. The hot tub was perfect for an evening soak under the stars. The property was easy to find and located close to everything we wanted to see while in Kernville. My husband and I are looking forward to returning and taking advantage of the fire pit/grill and spending more time at the property.

Spider web was hanging on the ceiling. The ceiling was too low over the bed and my husband head knocked the wood on the ceiling every time he tried to get up. It wasn’t enough beds. Outdoor furniture was too old and disgusting and so much more I don’t want to remember……..
