The food & service in the restaurant is first class and very much worth a visit. Attended the New Year 7 course tasting menu. Food was perfectly cooked & beautifully presented. Decent wine list at sensible prices. Unfortunately the accommodation does not match this.

Perfect location "smack bang" in the centre of Canterbury..this time our room was very cold but that is not normally the case. go for a higher spec room the " comfort" rooms are quite basic compared to the "desirable " rooms

Non working heating in the bathroom and an icy bedroom on one of the coldest nights of the year marred what would otherwise have been a good stay. The staff were professional and welcoming but a next door guest snoring heard through what must be thin walls meant we did not get the good night's sleep we were hoping for.

We had a fab time at this hotel, staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome. Food and cocktails are great here! We will definately return! Perfect location for Canterbury high street and the cathedral

Stayed Oct 16. Hotel was lovely and clean, dinner was lovely and breakfast was also very nice. Room was lovely and comfy bed. Was my mums birthday and the hotel placed a birthday balloon in the room and card which was very lovely too! Perfect stay and great location

Good breakfast and polite staff in that area. Central location. Room was comfortable but the room was bright blue and looked like one you might find in a hostel. Found it strange that we had to pay to use the parking lot. We tried to call the evening of booking a few times to request a cot and wasnt able to get through..when we arrived they said one wasn't available. After making a fuss they ended up getting one from another hotel but said they had to charge £15 for it as they had to take a taxi to get it. Spoke to the manager who was nice and removed the charge but it was a very strange experience indeed.

As title says really, brilliant hotel in the perfect location for site-seeing and shopping and many good places to eat and drink near by too. i can't fault it really, we had a problem with the heating in our room but that was soon fixed. Very professional staff. Not the cheapest of places but we got a good deal by staying on a Monday night and not having breakfast.

We stayed here for my birthday, and was kindly upgraded for the occasion on arrival. The staff at The ABode hotel were amazing, great customer service all round! We ate both dinner and breakfast in the hotel as this was part of our package. The food and wine were both superb too. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We fully endorse the comments “Crap food” whilst the staff were very attentive the meals that they had to serve were so bad as to be embarrassing. We believe that the problem was that we were part of a Titan Tours group trip to Canterbury and between the hotel and Titan we got a very bad deal. If we had booked the hotel ourselves we would have been treated totally differently and the food would not have been a issue. We shall not use Titan again for any holiday breaks.

Wonderful Christmas stay in Canterbury , booked Christmas Eve for one night as our older kids were either out or with their girlfriends,, so we decided to have this as our Christmas present to each other !! It's a botique style hotel in a very old building, with lots of features, it combines the new and old well ! We had a lovely meal in the evening and a great breakfast,, The staff were always helpful, My only very small gripe was having to pay £12 to use a very muddy bit of waste land to park my car ,,, at my own risk !!!!
