Our room was very clean and well maintained. Other areas of the hotel was also neat and organized. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The shuttle service is simple but very helpful being in a quiet area in a small prefecture.

Our room was very nice and large. We really enjoyed the tatami portion of the room to rest and for our son to play. Staff were very friendly and the complimentary breakfast was great and had a variety of western and Japanese cuisine. Location was ok as it was not in the main road/shopping area. However, it is close enough to walk to karuizawa station where we can ride the train/taxi/bus.

The room size is ideal, but the rules of the hotel is ridiculous. Each room only have 1 key, and everytime you go out need to leave the key at the front desk. Even when I just go out to the car get stuff, the hotel staffs will ask you for the room key, I feel my privacy have been violated. And the hotel will lock the front door at 12am. If you want to go out have a smoke, you need ask the staffs open door. This make me feel the hotel is not secure. My whole stay feels wired and not comfortable. I travel to Japan twice every year, never have this experience. This should not happen in Japan.

Excellent hotel with very accommodating staff. Easy to find, right on the main road and right next to a Lawson’s convenience store. Newly renovated bathrooms are particularly good. The complimentary breakfast is ideal to start the day. All staff very friendly and helpful. This was our second stay here and hope to come again.

Staff were all lovely, and very willing to help. They understood English very well and we're able to communicate to a good standard. The hotel is a brief walk from the Karuizawa train station, so it is in a desirable location for weary travellers. The room and bedding are comfortable, and an average size. The only negative I have is the use of keys for your room door. An upgrade to key cards would be something to consider for the future, and may also stop the need for handing in your key each time you exit the building (which I'm guessing is because of the key cutting service close by?)

They were able to accommodate a last minute booking. Rooms were large for Japanese standard and the free breakfast was better than some we've paid for (eggs, ham, curry, soup, drinks). Would stay here again.
