The property itself is decent and the location is slightly away from the main street. It is quiet at night and I could barely hear the noise in the next room. The noise from the pool also was barely noticeable from the third floor.
The food at the hotel is terrible! Absolutely terrible! I had one very bland breakfast one morning and a watery Thai curry on a different evening. The staff, although very smiley, doesn't speak English so asking anything other than check-in? and check out? is not possible. I didn't get any information about where to go or what to see while in Phuket which seems like a normal check-in procedure. (One lady at reception does speak English quite well.)
The hotel is near the temple which has a market in Tuesday and Friday.
You get what you pay for with this place. It's not terrible but also not fabulous. My room and bathroom were clean-ish but you can see that the details were missing, for example, there was a massive handprint on the wall atop the mirror. Hard to reach, hard to see, but it was there.
