Bit run down. 5 Mon walk from beach. Functional tourist hotel. Pool is clean. Cleaners are friendly. Reception staff are spotty in their approach to guests requests for information. WI-FI keeps disconnecting. One of the shower heads (raindrop) didn't work. Room 101. We ordered a taxi for a friend's but were unsuccessful as the driver didn't want to go in that direction as he lived the other way???, This should have been sorted out before order. Breakfast is good. Breakfast staff, older male in particular had to be asked 3 separate times for tea and not coffee. TV choice is very poor for English speakers. Had a good as I am fun.

Lovely hotel, the pool was amazing - most people were at the main (square) pool and we pretty much had the other bigger pool to ourselves. Tropical setting and yes the pool could be cleaned more often of the falling leaves and flowers but I made the best of it with creating flower arrangements at the side of the pool. Breakfast was good and the location was central and all tour companies offered a pick up from this hotel. Paying a deposit was a bit inconvenient as we had a lot of leftover after checking out because of this but what we did not realise was that we could use this as credit for payments for room service etc. The room was nice as well and the double bed was really big that it wasn't an issue that I was travelling with my mum.

Very nice hotel with a fabulous poolarea, the trees hanging over the pool and the elephant-fountains sound gives a relaxing enviroment! The room was always superclean and fresh and all staff was really kind! The beds a kind of hard, but that seems to be common in general in Thailand. The bathroom and shower is nice and if you wish you can take a bath. The tourcompany on the hotel has a great service and they are really friendly! The breakfast is great, different dishes everyday and there's a mix of thai and international. The only minus is the bread, there's not much to like. The lunch-restaurant is cheap but the food is kind of booring, but the fruitdrinks is fantastic! Summary, great hotel with fantastic enviroment! I will recommend it to people who wish to have a relaxing vacation on a hotel with average standard (not so much kids) It's definitley worth to take a massage at the pool!

Week has gone By, thankfully another week left. Breakfast amazing! So much to choose from, and loved the egg station. Staff here is happy and very friendly. Recomment cafe latte from pool bar. Location is so good, close enough but not too close 😊 easily could and would come again.

We spent 6 nights at this hotel as part of our honeymoon. First impressions were good, we were sat down with a drink and cold towel. Check in was done for us whilst we rested, we were taken to our room soon after. We opted for a water access room which was very beautiful with king bed. Very nice decor with lovely bath. Very beautiful surroundings and great pool. Unfortunately with pool access room, mosquitos make it impossible to fully relax outside. I was covered in many bites after sitting there approx 1 hour on our first day, these mosquitos also get into the room very easily if using the balcony door. We were bitten many times during our stay despite sprays and repellants - hotel are aware of the issue and do what they can. As time went on during our stay we were able to reduce the amount we were bitten by using bed curtain. It was frustrating that the cleaner left the balcony door wide open on many occasions when we were trying our hardest to keep it closed & protect ourselves. Last moan about the water access- we returned from lunch to find another guest making himself at home on our balcony using our sun-beds for water access. Incredibly rude! These rooms cost a lot more & it is not a free for all. Hopefully this is not common but I found it very rude and it was a shock to see a stranger outside our window. This brings me on to the next point - cleaning service very good and thorough. Fresh towels always available, sometimes changed more than once a day when needed. Cleaner was very friendly and chatty, I was a little shocked when she asked for money the day before we left. (You bring me no baht today?’) When I said we would leave her a tip before we leave she then asked what time we were leaving, pointing out she won’t be working then (again asserting to give the money now.) We gave her a bit but was less then half of what we had intended had she not pushed for it. In a nutshell: The pros - strong WiFi, cheap and tasty poolside restaurant, beautiful pool areas, very cheap minibar prices, friendly staff, nice rooms which are also quiet. Good location. Cons- Bed excessively hard - mattress topper is a must. Mosquitos galore. People are saving sunbeds as early as 7.30am. By 8.15am is mostly all gone. I would have marked 5 Star if bed wasn’t so hard and mosquitos were reduced. May stay again if in the area. Best pool I have ever used - fantastic.

Wonderful beach, interesting place, amazing nature and friendly staff. Hotel is very boutique and quite unique. Staff is quite nice and friendly. However, Breakfast is so so and less choices available.

In this January We spent 9 days in this amazing hotel. We enjoyed our rooms and also the hospitality of the hotel. Breakfast was excelent and the pool is fantastic. It is about 8 minutes walking time the beach. Kata beach is a quiet area. It is ideal for families.

We recently stayed at Kata Palm for two weeks. We had a perfect stay in a swim up room. Having your own patio area, sun chairs and table and chairs were a real treat. The room was huge and had an extra large bed as well as a day bed. The bed is quite firm but we like that. I think you can ask for a mattress topper if you need a softer bed. The bathroom was also very large and had a big pebble bath, waterfall tap and the shower was also large with a rainfall shower head. The mini bar and room service costs were very reasonable and the food was nice. The cleaners kept the room spotless and changed towels everyday. The air conditioning was incredibly cold and certainly more than combated the constant 32 degree heat. The hotel is perfectly placed near numerous restaurants, bars and shops. It couldn’t be any better placed. The beach is roughly a 5 minute walk away. It’s quite nice to be away from the beach as it gets VERY busy. If you want peace, take a half an hour walk to Kata Noi Beach just over the hill. Karon Beach is also lovely but that is quite a walk away, possibly 45/50 minutes and again gets busy. A Tuk Tuk is a good way to get there. The best part of the hotel is the pool. It’s like an oasis. You can hear no traffic and the garden surroundings are perfect. The water is warm and it’s like a sun trap during the day. All staff we encountered were very helpful, especially the older (with respect) ladies in the hotel lobby. There was only one rude lady on reception and she was young and took offence when we queried the aircon on one occasion which was completely unwarranted. There was simply a powercut which could have been explained much more pleasantly rather than the snappy and quite frankly nasty response she gave. Unfortunately I didn’t get her name. The only negative for the hotel is the breakfast. It really just is not nice at all. We tried it one day and didn’t finish our feed. We didn’t take breakfast on any other day during our stay. I would have given a full 5 star if the breakfast has been nice but sadly it just wasn’t. We would definitely return to the hotel and are planning our return next year. Thank you for such a wonderful time. Keep up the good work :) Tip: Take your mosquito spray as they are out in force on an evening.

Hotel is very boutique and has a unique Thai vibe to it! We stayed in Karon Beach for 3 nights and Kata Beach for 3 nights. Both very different but have nice beaches nearby. Kata Palm Resort and Spa is in the middle of the city (Kata). When you walk out from the hotel you can easily find restaurants, shopping and massage places without the need to hail a cab, or call for a tuk tuk. It is very convenient for a traveler who prefers to check out the local area without going too far. Patong Beach is a 10-15 minute drive from here. The hotel was beautiful. Great decor and ambiance, and a very nice pool! There is a place to get massages by the pool outside, but you need to book this in advance as the appointments book fast. Food by the pool was great, and the staff were extremely friendly! If you book a tour through the desk in the lobby, make sure to negotiate. They are willing to work with you on pricing. Overall, great hotel and would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at Kata Palm for 5 nights as part of our holiday to Thailand. The location of the hotel is great, it is close to bars, restaurants and the beach. Staff are friendly and the pool area is kept clean and tidy. The rooms are clean and spacious but the bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept in, too hard and the pillows were not much better! Our air-con was really noisy, so much so that one night we had to call maintenance at 12am and as them to come and fix it. The mosquitoes were also really bad at this hotel. I was bitten a lot even though I used repellent every day and managed to avoid any bites while travelling around other parts of Thailand. The breakfast at the hotel was average, seems like there is a lot of choice but a lot of it lacks in taste. You can also only access wifi in the lobby and pool areas, there is no wifi in your bedroom! We stayed at 5 different hotels in Thailand and this was the only hotel not to have wifi in their rooms! Its 2018!!! Also having to input the username and password every time was a pain! Overall the hotel is ok but I think there is room for improvement.
