Stopped there for business with some colleagues and really enjoyed the calm location ( however can be difficult to park in the streets depending on time of arrival). Pleasant room, very quiet and within short walking distance of restaurants. Breakfast was very nice and WiFi was good.

Located in a quiet residential street, very close to the train station and a short walk away from downtown. The hotel has its own parking but it's also easy and safe to park on the street in front of the hotel. This hotel is comfortable with small but functional rooms. The bathroom was a little outdated but it was clean and had everything needed. The person who greeted me at my arrival was extremely helpful in giving me all the information I needed for my short stay in Karlsruhe. The highlight as other people mentioned is probably the breakfast buffet which was very complete, delicious and beyond what I had expected. The only negative for me is that being a pet friendly hotel, I did have to listen to a dog barking a few times in a room near mine. I love dogs, but I do find the barking annoying when sleeping.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights following a Rhine River Cruise and were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and fantastic breakfast. Although basic, the room was clean (except carpet could use an update) and amenities were fine - including bottled water each day of our stay. Contrary to other traveller comments, we asked for two additional pillows and they arrived very promptly and were large and suited us perfectly. The location is fantastic..we are walkers and walked everywhere we wanted to go. The awesome buffet breakfast is in the top 5 of any I have ever seen...and we’ve travelled extensively. The price of our room was 1/4 of our subsequent Paris hotel room and far surpassed Paris on all counts. Would definitely recommend for anyone who wants to experience a real German hotel but not with the big chains.

Stinky hotel!!Mattress stinks on sweet and bad is sooo noise!Couldn’t sleep all night!Mattress is so old that you can feel lumps and holes!Carpet stinks and looks so depressing!Bathrooms are clean but outdated!

We stayed for 4 nights in this hotel and were greeted on arrival by very friendly staff. We had room 106 on the first floor which was clean and comfortable and perfectly adequate for a short break. The bed was comfort but we would have preferred two pillows rather than just one. The bathroom, although fairly small, was also clean and more than adequate. Unfortunately, however, there was no air conditioning in the room; only a fan and, with outside temperatures around 35 degrees, the room was very hot but since the hotel is in a quiet location, we were able to keep the window wide open during the night to make it more bearable. The fan alone could not have achieved this. The hotel offers a great breakfast buffet with a large choice of hot and cold food. We were quite surprised by the large selection and good quality of this. There is also seating with a fridge containing a good range of cold drinks and snacks in the reception area. This is run on an honesty principle. Garages are available at 10 euros a night but there is also some parking at the back of the hotel. The hotel is within walking distance of the tram and the main railway station. There is good free WiFi connection throughout the hotel. There is a Greek restaurant right next to the hotel but we did not use this. We can definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay in Karlsruhe but one needs to be aware that this could be a problem in very hot weather.

I was booked into this hotel for a business trip. Arrived, there was no one to greet us, spoke on the phone with someone who dropped a key into the box. Went upstairs and found a small room with no air conditioning. When we called to ask if we could have an air conditioned room, we were told that there were none. We left and didn’t stay, as the temperature outside was 33 degrees c = 92 degree f and much hotter inside. Not a place to stay in hot weather!

This hotel is very near to the train station but a tram ride away from the central area. No problem as there are restaurants in the area if you are not wanting to head into the city. The hotel is very reasonably priced and the room a generous size with good big bathroom. Very welcoming and all staff were very friendly. Breakfast was brilliant with great variety.

I have really enjoyed my stay in the Hotel Elite in Karlsruhe. I was a little dubious about the 3 star rating, but as it turned out the simple clean rooms and the full breakfast made for a suitably restorative stay. Reception staff very friendly. Greek restaurant just around the corner. Bring a feather pillow if you don't like the foam sort. And be warned, there's no air conditioning in the room (though there is a fan).

The Hotel Elite in Karlsruhe is a small hotel in a neighborhood conveniently close to anywhere you would need to go. A 8- minute walk from the train station and a 20- minute walk to the Schloss or castle and central part of town, it still is in a charming, quiet area. My room was immaculate; everything worked perfectly. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating, even emailing me train schedules while I was still in the US trying to figure out how to get from Frankfort airport to Karlsruhe. Every morning a delicious full hot breakfast was served..great bread, kaffee, eggs, and speak (bacon) or a wide variety of sausages and vegetation fare. Around the corner is a great Greek restaurant...Sokrates. Don't miss it. Room rates are very reasonable for the quality of stay.

Nice room, with everything you need. WiFi works throughout the hotel. No fuss, it just works! Breakfast is abundant with everything on it, it’s stunning that everything you want is here. Hotel is great value for money! The Greek restaurant Sokrates is just 50 m away and excellent for dinner (reservation is a good idea).
