Staff is helpful and pleasant. Airport shuttle is on time at 4:30 a.m. Coffee Muffins and fruit ready just for us. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. A very good Mexican restaurant within easy walking distance.
Our room had a coffee pot, ironing board, frig, microwave, etc. All nice things if you need them. The grounds looked like they need a bit of attention. The breakfast included hot food: scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits/gravy, etc. I have no complaints, but not breathtaking. I was struck by how quiet the motel was despite the fact that it was nearly full. Conveniently located for KCI airport.
My wife and I visited Alaska for 2 weeks recently. We had an early flight going and a late one returning. The staff here is very accommodating about getting you to and from the airport. Reasonable rates and a safe place to leave the car. Not a 5 star hotel but room was lean and bed was comfortable.
Do not use this Hotel!! I made a reservation earlier this week and had a change of plans. I called to cancel my reservation, which is still two days away, and THEY REFUSED!! They informed me they have a policy of no cancellations within one week of your stay!! And it's not like I got some discount, it's just their regular price. I consider this a scam and will be informing that to my credit card company.
It was old and run down but nonetheless cozy and decently clean. My room was a good size, ugly green walls, 2 vanity mirrors. The lobby and surrounding rooms seemed nicer but I stayed in the older rooms in th back of the building. Alone with two little kids I felt a little creeped out at first but I ended up staying for the whole week I had reserved and the place definitely grew on me. The continental breakfast was always good. Every time my room was cleaned from housekeeling they sprayed the room with something that smelled like nag champa which I found rather pleasing. I would say it's worth the price. If you don't need something fancy this place is practical.
Traveled to Platte City to attend a funeral. For the price I paid - the hotel was just fine. It is slightly old and outdated, but I feel they are doing improvements. Both rooms that I had reserved for my family were clean. The staff was very friend and helpful. Lots of opportunity to thank a military service man or woman as this seems to be a popular overnight stay for them and I seen several both morning for breakfast. The pool was clean and my grandchildren enjoyed it a lot. A great outdoor space provided for enjoying the evening air. And breakfast was available - not just cold cereal. Scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, etc. I believe in time, they will have the hotel updated to most travelers satisfaction. Overall - I will stay there again when I go to visit friends and family again in the Platte City area.
We spent one night here while attending a wedding in a nearby small town. Once we checked in, we went to the door they told us to use for easiest room access. Immediately upon stepping into the hallway, there was just a musty odor that happens in older buildings. The interior of the hotel had areas that needed painting and it needed new carpeting as there were many stains on the carpets. The pool water was clean, although the pool area itself had clothing in a corner and things left on tables, as if no one had been in for a while to check and clean the area. There was a nice outside deck and patio area, but time and weather did not provide us the opportunity to use that. Our room itself was clean and well equipped with a mini fridge and microwave, tv, and a second sink area besides the bathroom. Breakfast was limited and average. Not much flavor to eggs, sausage gravy or biscuits. Orange juice was great but coffee was terrible. Neither me or my husband could drink it. My opinion of staff was that they did their job effectively, but lacked on friendliness. So, this hotel served it's purpose of providing a one night stay. I definitely would not stay longer than that. I though the price was average for this time of year in the vicinity the hotel was in.
This hotel was just OK and The luggage dollies were old and rickety, the hallways and our room smelled musty, and as with most of the Choice Brand Hotels the food choices for the breakfast menue were very unhealthy with prefabricated eggs, sausage and other disgusting items (not food) which were then microwaved, except for a few token pieces of fruit. The elevator was very tiny, smelly, old and very slow. The rooms have very tiny closets and there is literally no counterspace in the rooms. The upper floors were very loose and noisy and the pool had no jacuzzi. Good for a one night stay..
The Army has us moving to Fort Leavenworth this summer for ILE, so my 4 yr old son and i stayed here a few nights while house hunting in the Leavenworth area. It is about a 20-30 minute drive to places in Lansing and Leavenworth, but i opted for this place because of the price. You can pay about 10$ less for cheap places on the Kansas side, but the reviews scared me away! Honestly, i had no issues and would absolutely stay again. cold A/C, super comfy beds and pillows, fridge, microwave, and a safe spot to sleep. I had plans to use the pool, but we were too worn out from looking at houses....i never even laid eyes on it. Not a 5 star hotel, but definitely a great value! And ps: the 2 last gas stations along the road leading into Leavenworth (but on the Missouri side) had MUCH cheaper gas!
This was our 2nd stay here and we are still pleased with the park & fly rate. We were given a room near an entrance which we greatly appreciated as it was really windy and cold. . Room was clean, well furnished and relaxing. We were able to ck in early which really helped out as we had an early flight the next morning. Shuttle service is great and on time! We'll be back!
