This hotel is past prime. Pix online were not indicatve. Room was dirty. Showed signs of damage. AC was very old window unit. Breakfast was a disaster. Entirely disappointed and cannot recc at all
I stayed here on July 15 , room 212, as soon as I walked in the door I could tell it was bad news , the A/C was half hidden behind the bed , the toilet was dirty , hair in the tub , the shower rod had twist ties hanging of it with scraps of an old shower curtain hanging off it , the neighbors were partying all night plus they had a broken window and no door handle on their room . will never stay here again , plus the pictures must be another hotel because the front lobby pic is definitely not the place I stayed at
We stayed overnight - good position, beds very comfortable but room maintenance seriously needs attention- a used facecloth in our bathroom, bathroom not cleaned satisfactorily, and under beds were quite dirty. The breakfast room was invaded by flies, so much so that we couldn't stay to eat! Very basic!!!
Great location, easy to access, park, and has everything needed for a night or two stay. No luxury, but comfortable and easy!
We stayed here for two night's in June 2017. After a long drive to get here, we checked in early, thanks to the guy on the desk, who was polite and friendly. Our room was upstairs overlooking the front. We had two beds which were comfy, microwave, fridge etc. The room was clean as was the bathroom, which had a good working shower. Clean towels on both days we stayed. The breakfast room was large and a decent breakfast was there to be had if you wanted. It got us started for the mornings and we enjoyed. The motel is a short drive, or a ten minute walk if your mobile, to the downtown area, where there are plenty shops and restaurants/bars. A nice park by the river is a nice place to have a stroll around. Overall, we enjoyed our stay which was value for money, and we would recommend the motel to all.
We stayed at the howard johnson kamloops yesterday and probably got best value for our money. Our room was clean, tidy and organized. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Denny's restaurant located next door was bonus for my parents as they needed something at short distance. Continental breakfast was better than average motels. Good job by the owner, we will always stay at the Howard Johnson kamloops. Thanks
The hotel looks very old fashion from the outside. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable but this place is nothing special. The air conditioning unit is very noisy but it blocks the street noise. You may need ear plugs. Breakfast is complementary but simple. Wifi is also free.
This is not a luxury hotel, however it is a perfectly nice hotel in a good location. Our room (#205) was quite spacious and reasonably quiet. Check in was quick and friendly. We walked into the business district of Kamloops for dinner. The breakfast was what you would expect from a hotel - they ran out of fruit, but otherwise was well stocked. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially if visiting the nearby hospital or just passing through town as we were.
Friendly and efficient check-in and out, updated and comfortable rooms (we got a free upgrade to a king bed... It was so comfortable!), and an unbeatable location. It was just a 10 minute walk to the main street in downtown Kamloops. Incredibly reasonable rates--will definitely stay again!
Just stay in this Hotel one night on the way back to Calgary from Victoria, BC. Good: - Hotel provides free breakfast, nice staff. Bad: - Many broken things in the room: hair-drier, microwave without plate.
- Free continental breakfast
- Free WiFi in rooms and public areas
- Free parking
- Business center
