This was a moderately disappointing experience for a brief stay. Upon checking in, I went to grab coffee in the lobby to wake me up before an event, but found that all carafes were out. They were out the next morning during breakfast too. The coffee machine in my room didn't work either. During the middle of the night, the AC/heater unit began to emit an awful smell like burning chocolate. It didn't go away until about an hour after I turned the unit off, so we were hot all night. Breakfast offerings were disappointing. Would not recommend this location.

RIght across the street from Kalamazoo College, Walgreens, and an excellent Italian restaurant, the Comfort Inn Kalamazoo was IDEAL. Plus, the beds were super comfortable, everything was spotlessly clean, and best of all... the staff was sooooooo friendly and helpful. In the morning, the woman in the breakfast room was charming and friendly. And behind the desk in the evening, the receptionist was just lovely. When my daughter asked her for more conditioner (HUGE head of curls), she gave her a fistful and said, "I understand. I have the same hair." We will stay there every time we visit over the next four years my daughter is at Kalamazoo College. Great experience. THANK YOU !!!

There were sheets and towels piled outside 3 or 4 different rooms in the hallway for an entire day & night while we were there. Obviously, there was either no housekeeping staff on site for that time period, or they were simply not doing their job well. Also... it sounded like there were people running and jumping and slamming doors on the floor below us throughout the entire night, right into the morning... worse nights sleep I had at a hotel for a long time.

The front desk attendant was great, and the room was nice, but I have to say... the loud mouth older black woman managing the breakfast bar caused it to be a very unpleasant experience in the morning and a bad way to start the day. My son and I were the only two people other than her and another employee in the room, and she dominated the whole atmosphere... she didn't shut her loud mouth for the entire duration, from loud mouth babbling on her cell phone, to a consistent blabbing to her coworker. Other than that, it was a nice stay.

Was not giving the room I paid for, parking lot was always full, and all the food at breakfast was either low or out.

Nice place for the price. The staff was friendly, and the rooms seem well kept. The breakfast bar was average, with waffle maker, eggs & sausage, and misc stuff. Walking distance to several bars and restaurants.

Typical experience at a comfort inn...nothing was wrong, everyone was friendly, and its got the basic necessities needed. Nothing fancy but close to the college campuses.

The room I received smelled of human waste as soon as I opened the door. In addition, there was leftover carryout food in the mini fridge from a previous guest. The continental breakfast was underwhelming. The location was a bit of a hike from the Kalamazoo downtown area. At $130 a night this was not worth the price.

I had to visit WMU and this is the best pick close by .

The room was clean and had a fridge and microwave. The hot breakfast was a welcome suprise (especially the strawberry waffles). They need to work on their WiFi as connecting to the internet with our laptops was a bit of a pain. The location is in walking distance to the Radisson conference center and was 2/3 the cost! I would definitely stay there again.

The room was clean. The hotel itself was rather difficult to get to. The breakfast was good. Unfortunately I found the beds to be hard, the pillows uncomfortable, but the worst thing is that it was terribly noisy. I don't know if it was the guests upstairs from us, or the workers, but there was loud talking and bumps and laughing all night long. would not recommend this location to anyone who wants to sleep at night.

Good location for the price downtown. Clean and relatively quiet. Parking could have been an issue, we walked to blues festival 3 blocks away in order not to struggle for lack of parking later. Front desk very helpful. Would stay again.

Very comfortable. Close to everything.

GREAT VALUE IN AN AREA DEVOID OF QUALITY HOTELS

Visited Kalamazoo College

Great location downtown next to the up and under. Bathtub backed up and didn't drain, polyester bed covers and old mattresses.

Stayed here for my daughters freshman orientation at WMU. I was happy is was down the street from the school. It is tucked away and passed by a couple times. Nice new mattress, clean and quite. First time I have had a good nights sleep at a hotel.
