we thought we were getting a renovated room, that was not the case. the furniture in the room is beat to death. bed was fine. table, dresser and night stands looked like they got them at garage sales, really beat. walls behind the table were all gouged and patched. for $340 bucks a night I think they should have a nicer room.

The staff were friendly and helpful check in and check-out. The central part of the property adjacent to the lobby and pool appeared quite nice and well maintained. A nice feature is the ability to walk through pool area onto the narrow beach. The hotel is near the harbor, so the quality of the water is uncertain. The primary reason for the three star rating is the poor maintenance of the annex building where our room was. The exterior of the annex clearly needs improvement. Our room had lots chipped paint and wood finishes. The bathroom door was missing some of its painted veneer. The bathroom had been repainted but there were paint splashes on the mirror wood trim. The bathroom ventilation did not work. The curved shower curtain rod over the tub was loose on the wall and bending slightly toward the floor, as if someone had tried to do chin ups on it. The end of the shower curtain kept sliding down the curved curtain rod and away from the wall, which made it impossible to not get water on the floor. The air conditioner cycled on and off in a very annoying fashion. The compressor came on and ramped up to speed and the fan would blow for 30 to 60 seconds and then it shut down only to repeat the process in another five minutes or so. We probably should have set the fan to a continuous setting, but it honestly didn't occur to us. There was no daily maid service during our 2-night stay unless we requested it. All in all, our stay was fine, but not great.

Took a shower and alternately was cold and then scalded by the water in the shower. Room with 11 people having a party at the top of the stairs, it felt like I was intruding every time I went to my room.

The staff and room were ok. Everything is old and not modernized. There is no restroom for the lobby/pool. The front desk will give you a key for a rundown dark room they use for this purpose. The guestroom was clean but old. It is right next to the barge port so you hear forklifts beeping all day. Ok for an overnight before a flight, 9 minutes from the airport.

I could hear people talking as if there was an open window, there wasn’t. Other than that the key getting de magnetized So quickly was super annoying. Staff was very sweet. Also, anyone that checks in or asks for shuttle service should be notified of the hours of operation

The Maui Seaside Hotel was in a beautiful location with very nice amenities. We had a very nice breakfast in the restaurant and the check in desk was staffed by very friendly employees. However, the rooms were musty and had soggy carpet from recent rain. The rooms were in need of upgrading and were overpriced for the current condition.

The hotel and the room is clean and nice. I am happy to stay with the hotel. But the price and the list that I can get from the offer is different when I headed over the hotel. The offer I saw at the Expedia it said $30 food and beverage credit per room, per stay. But we got nothing nor any informed from the staffs. Also on my receipt from Expedia it said I only have to pay $100+ at the hotel. But when we arrived, they charged me $200+. I don’t mind to pay extra maybe for the resort fee and the parking, but I just curious why after we checked out, they can’t send us a list for the charge; at least let us know what we spend on.
