Stayed one night again while on a weekend trip. VERY clean and comfortable room. The price is VERY reasonable (50) plus taxes. Not fancy as it 50's-60's style but very well kept. The owners are very knowlegable about the area and treat you right.
We were on our way to Gettysburg and needed a clean place to lay our heads for the night. This motel had no frills, but we were there for less than 10 hours. The price is right and the place was clean. Our only issue was it was a hot night and it took until 3am to cool the room down. We definitely would stop here again.
Stayed for one night on the way to Virginia. Everything else in the area seemed to have an excessive rate, maybe it was college graduation season. Very basic amenities - no restaurant or pool, not much of anything - but the rooms are comfortable and clean, just what we wanted for a one night stay. We could tell that Dolores and Bill ran a tight ship. And at $55 for two double beds on a Saturday night, can't beat the price. Close to downtown and one group of restaurants, close to the I-99 exit and another group of restaurants. We highly recommend it for a quick stopover.
The hubby and I were in the Bedford PA area fora few days, and needed a quick place to stay. We checked out this place. It had great reviews right here on TripAdvisor! The place is clean and convenient to everything! Just under a mile from downtown, it's a great, quiet place to stay. Even though it is just off of the turnpike, it's very peaceful. The room is small, but clean. Theplace is owned by a husband and wife and is just as charming as they are! The husband told us all about the area, and the best things to do. If you are in the area, stay here. You won't be disappointed.
Judy's Motel is clean, comfortable. cozy and convenient. It had everything we needed and was pretty to boot. Chain motels are so same and dull. This one has character and charm that you cannot get in a chain.
My Daughter and I were on our way home from Ohiopyle and got caught in awful traffic on the Turnpike. As our four hour drive looked as if it was turning into a seven hour drive, we decided to pull off for the night in Bedford. I did a quick online search, and Judy's motel popped up. Super clean, inexpensive and family run, this was exactly what we needed. Since we live in a house built in 1959 with pink and gray tile, sink & toilet, I felt right at home in the bathroom, and marveled at how well maintained everything is. My daughter got a good giggle out of the teeny-tiny bathtub. The owner was able to offer great suggestions on where to grab dinner and breakfast. We would be happy to support this establishment if we're in the neighborhood again!
We stayed at Judy's over a weekend. It is a step back in time. The motel only has about a dozen rooms. Rooms have heat, air conditioning, decent beds, a bathroom, color tv with cable and free wi fi. They do not have hair dryers or fancy soaps. They are clean and in good repair. Rates run in the $50-60 per night range. It is a very good deal, and Judy's gets a lot of return customers. You can't make a reservation on line, but the telephone worked fine for me.
We always stay at Judy's when in the Bedford area. Small 50's-60's motel. Owners take pride in their motel and it shows. Very friendly and the rooms are always spotless. You cannot beat the price. Very small bathroom and shower but very adequate. Price is very small too. Cannot ask for more for a one or two night stay while visiting the sights of Bedford and Somerset counties.
Good old fashioned hospitality and extremely clean accomodations! Don't look for excess ammenities, but there is WiFi and in room coffee, as well as cable tv. Cozy rooms that recall a past time nostalgia.
We had a great time at Judy's motel! It was close to everything in Bedford, which is a lovely town. Since the motel is right off the route 30 split, it was an ideal stop for a Lincoln Highway roadtrip. Judy's also has much more charm and personality than a chain motel or hotel. The manager greeted us with a joke and told us about the origins of the Hex signs. The motel has Hex signs all over the outside walls, which makes for a delightful touch of Pennsylvania Dutch heritage. I would say stopping here reminded me of going to my grandma's as a kid. It's a throwback type of place I would highly recommend. The place is very clean, has a great AC, and a tv with lots of channels. The door is a little tricky, but they showed us how to lock and unlock. If you stay, I'd recommend trying the Jean Bonnet Tavern nearby. Great food and drink, plus George Washington was there once upon a time.
