My stay at this hotel is very good, i forgot to bring my charger from my country and I borrow the charger to ms nana , thank you nana is very helpful for me. See you again ms nana will be missing your friendly attitude.
Stayed here with family, the room is spacious and they have an outdoor pool 👍🏻 beside that the breakfast was various and delicious, they served both indonesian and international food and it taste good. Will be back for sure.
Usual nice weekend getaway at Mercure. The staff friendliness and customer service is the highlight of this property. Fitness center continues to improve with new equipment but the AC is still not enough for the blasting heat.
I stayed here for 6 nights, very comfortable rooms but it needs desperate renovation, the building and interiors are old, worst Mercure hotel, not a 4 star property. I asked for alcoholic drinks at the bar, the bar man said he ran out of all the hard liquor. I had given my credit card for deposit, it's been three weeks I am still fighting to get my deposit back. But the staff are very helpful at the reception and the bell desk.i will stay again if the hotel is renovated and up to par for a 4 star property.
Spent weekend with family. refurbished room interior. nice and clean decor. really love the pillow, specially the duvet, really puffy. big tv screen, tons of channel. four thumbs up for the staff hospitality and service. great taste and vary bfast. big thanks to Pak Rico, pak Asep, Pak asst Security/mgr in charge and all the team. keep up the stunning work!!
Summary : Accor group known for one of the most terrific hotel wide world. One of them is Mercure. Mercure Hayam Wuruk/Jakarta Kota (AFAIK) is one of the oldest hotel building that Accor has. Despite its '(brand) name', everything was excellence. For me to write, is about the building. Old, that's the first thing on my mind. Incapacious, that's the second. 'So-last-year', that's the third. But, the atmosphere is fit to the surrounding area of Glodok. That's a PLUS to me. The pool need to be refurbished, there are moss on the tiles. It takes quite awhile for the AC to cool up the room. For a class of Accor group it's an Average to me. Despite all that, the service and amenities still defines goodness. An upgrade won't harm, or maybe OLD is gOLD. Pros : - Strategic - Carpet flooring (for me) - Spacious (standard) room Cons : - Pool - Old building Stay Again : FOR FREE...
it's an old hotel but the location is great. near the 'Kota Tua' and all the night life. what I like about this hotel even the standard room I booked had a bathtub. Not many hotel in Jakarta had a bathtub in their standard room
Although it is not a new hotel.. but it still in a very good maintenance.. We get upgrade room for our 2 night stay Very good bed Clean room Delicious breakfast The manager so polite with us Thanks a lot for mercure team.. keep the good job
There are two Mercure hotels located very near to each other in the centre of Jakarta, with the far newer (and more impressive) Grand Mercure the more expensive option. The Mercure Kota is nonetheless a very good option, even if some of the hotel could do with a bit of a renovation. It's still comfortable (almost) luxury at a very inexpensive rate in a pretty central location. Getting to the Mercure from the airport is relatively straight forward. I asked the hotel to arrange a taxi and they quoted me a reasonable rate. I got the confirmation, yet at the airport, nobody showed up. When I checked in, they hadn't a clue what I was complaining about, even though I showed them the confirmation email from the property. Regardless, if you can get a taxi to take you on the metre, it will cost you about IR120 inc tolls even in heavy, stand still traffic. But good luck finding a taxi that will operate the metre. Most will quote you IR250-300,000 and you'll be unlikely to get it for less. Once at the property, it is a little unfortunate that it now stands next door a brand new, really quite impressive hotel, as the Mercure building is very 80s and looks quite tired. Inside however is an impressive lobby with beautiful stained glass and antiques, plus a small bar/cafe. You will be offered a free welcome drink at the bar, but this turns out to be limited to fruit juice only. There are 4/5 elevators, but throughout my stay, only 2 were ever in service. The rest were locked on the 18th (top) floor. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, with plenty of drawer and wardrobe space and place for the luggage. There is a chaise and a desk with chair, but they could do with an update. The bed has pristine linens and is certainly comfortable. There's very good aircon and a safe in the closet. The bathrooms are the big let down. The bath tub was badly damaged, chipped and stained and thus looked really dirty. The shower did have good pressure and plentiful hot water. The fawcets in the basin leaked and had very weak water pressure. The supply of amenities is good, but it varied from day to day what was left by the maid. 2 x 600 ml drinking water is also provided free. WIFI is excellent and there is international TV programming, although some of the channels did drop out regularly. There was never any noise from other rooms at all. Breakfast is very good and served in a nice setting. There's plenty of choice for western tastes, including an omelette/egg station, but generally speaking, the masses of food you'll find on the buffet is geared to Asian tastes. You'll certainly find everything normally provided in a western property, although the toaster is pretty dilapidated and could do with replacing. I asked if there was any yogurt (there wasn't) but for the rest o my stay, the wait staff made sure it was provided daily, which was very considerate. All in all, you'll have a very comfortable stay for a very reasonable rate. There's a outdoor pool and an indoor gym included in the rate. Taxis and tuktuks, as well as local buses will take you to all the sights, but most are within a reasonable walking distance, as are many local shops, malls and street food vendors.
Overall it is a good hotel with a good reputation. Location is great. Surrounded by a lot of culinary destination. The furniture is old but still ok. Big room, clean, and has nice view to the city. Service is good. Food is great.
