Room was clean, comfortable and okay location to get over to different tourist attractions. Most staff we encountered were cold, unfriendly, stoic and unlike the hotels my wife and I stayed in Indonesia. I was surprised by the staff's slow response to take care of problems. I called to complain about noise coming from a room next door at 7am but they didn't do anything about the noise. Come to find out later , it was construction going on. On another occasion, I called to take away the room service tray and they never responded so I had to get out of bed, put my clothes on and take it out myself. I guess they forgot about the room service? The bar staff downstairs were very friendly but that was about the only staff that seemed to response well to guests. Because of the lousy staff response, and presentation, we will not be going back.

Our stay at this hotel could not have been improved upon. Hotel has a beautiful entry and lobby. The service was amazing, the hotel staff genuinely interested in our comfort;helpful;all speaking perfect English. Having lived in Jakarta fifty years ago, I hosted a tea party for old friends that was fabulous (and extremely reasonable!). The dining room serves an international buffet for breakfast that includes Chinese, Japanese, Indonesian and all continental or American food..all superbly presented, prepared. Room and pool food service were excellent, too. Security measures are very stringent at entry (good, I guess) but staff was always pleasant about it. Location is perfect for a business visit as it is in central Jakarta's Golden Triangle. For visitors like ourselves, the morning walks weren't great. We felt truly pampered at this hotel and would highly recommend it.

genuine luxury

Our stay at this hotel could not have been improved upon. Hotel has a beautiful entry and lobby.
