Very helpful and polite staff. Big, comfortable and clean rooms. Nice breakfast. Hotel is near to the national monument. Inside the hotel there is a nice variety of great restaurants and cafes. Very good choice for hosting conferences.

Stayed for 2 nights in the hotel and all I can say is that the upkeep of the hotel is superb. Location wise, it’s very strategic. Staff are very professional and yet friendly. Rooms are well maintained. Food during breakfast is well spread with a lot of choices. During lunch or dinner time, the Sop Buntot should not be missed. It’s one of the best if not the BEST Sop Buntot in Jakarta. They also have other restaurants which are all winners. Staying in Jakarta for business or leisure, your hotel of choice should be Hotel Borobudur. It’s value for money. Thank you to the staff of Hotel Borobudur for making my stay a great one.

I stayed a full week for business and experienced a consistently high level of service and friendliness. Hasan and Chika remembered me each morning and evening at the discovery club lounge. The club lounge is perfect for a weary business traveler at the end of a long day. It was never loud or crowded, rather a nice oasis to unwind and reflect on the day. The health spa is well equipped and the pool is really refreshing. A walking path around the grounds is a nice way to refresh without encountering the busy streets of Jakarta. I next have business in Jakarta in June and will again stay with the Borobudur.

i come to this hotel since almost 20 years. The only part that makes it a 5 star is the campus and what it offers. The rooms are big but bathroom very small. The AC system is not well functional either. In my opinion it is not a 5 start but the campus for me is enough to keep coming back.

Good room and nice personality by staff. Very recomended hotel for any people if wants to relax for stay in this hotel. I hope to keep performance. Very cloce it the family to go to town and enjoy the swimming pool is big.

Stayed here for 3 nights for a conference. Location is central, right beside the National Monument. Service was great and all employees were very professional, always with a smile. However, the rooms were (at least mine was) quite dated. Had a tub with the caulking that separated from the walls and quite moldy. Some of the bed linen also showed years of wear and tear. Other than the age of the hotel showing, the hotel is quite nice. Good value.

I stayed one night at Hotel Borobudur Jakarta and surprisingly I liked it. Why so surprised? I'm very familiar with the hotel as I have several business occasions here but never had the chance to really stay. The hotel is very busy, always packed with people and some facilities look old. Thus my expectation was not high. On this occasion, I had 2 separate business meetings there, one in the morning and the other in the evening. As I didn't have enough sleep last night so I was so tired that day and needed some rest, I decided to book a superior room for me to get some sleep and a shower in between appointments for full recharge. It was a good experience. What I like about this hotel: + superior room quite spacious, not that big but more than enough for business traveler. + comfortable bed + overall room was convenient + big swimming pool surrounded by lush garden + free high speed internet access + friendly professional staffs + value for money Room for improvement: - room insulation could be better, the noise was even very clear from the hallway. Location is central and at most times very hard to reach due to traffic. I would gladly stay in Borobudur Hotel Jakarta again and recommend it to anyone.

I stayed in the hotel 10 years ago, and it did not change at all. The largest swimming pool, gym and beautiful gardens are still there. It still has grandeur (already for 40 years) and the best patissier and bakery in Jakarta. Very friendly staff upon checkin and chilled drinks in the club lounge. Rooms are very spacious and more han enough cupboards and space to open your luggage in the room. Very comfy beds and new AC. The bathroom is a bit tired and needs to be updated, esp. the old toilet seat and showers. I will be back next month!

Spacious, friendly and well-located hotel in Jakarta. Loved that it was walking distance to MONAS, Istiqlal Mosque and St Mary Cathedral. Premier Deluxe rooms are comfortable and clean and good value (although the bathrooms are small and need renovation). Breakfast was only so-so but the in-house bakery is fabulous. Good prices too. What really sets this hotel apart is the beautiful grounds and gardens - such a surprise in the centre of this busy city! Lovely, well-cared for gardens with a fabulous variety of plants, big Olympic swimming pool, 700m rubberised jogging track - even the small butterfly garden was a pleasure to visit. The Spa and Fitness Club spread over 3 floors is amazing! I wish we had more time to spend there. All the staff were lovely - very friendly and service oriented. Really a good choice for Jakarta.

This hotel has a good mix of Indonesian and foreign guests. In contrast, some of the other 5-star hotels feel like "foreign island" within this vibrant Indonesian metropolis. The interior design includes stone scupltures and relief replicas from Indonesian temples. Plus, this hotel has garden and pool area that has the size of a small park and includes a 700m running path under tropical trees. Finally, the staff is simply delightful. My recommendation is to give this hotel a try -- especially, if you intent to travel to by train. The hotel is incredibly close to Jakarta's main train station. Andreas S.
