My friends and I had plan for gathering before one of my friend had long trip for holiday. We booked for two Rooms and we arrived at midnight. Honestly we never checking in to this hotel before but we always heard this hotel quite famous and closer to airport. The staffs are polite and the security helped us when we arrived at the lobby. Thanks for security team. Then, we should call for amenities like hairdryer, additional bathroom amenities, etc. The location, hmmm its not too closer but we need around 15-20 minutes to airport. There was shuttle bus to airport every two hours starting 6 AM. Overall, this hotel is good and worth enough.
AC Fan noisy doesn't matter fan speed high or low. Ceiling steel reinforcement rusty. Bathmat time to replace, spot and yellowing. Supposed to used out of order item, rather than set into room (not represents hotel pride and price) Shower head water spilled everywhere, need to changed (mossy & crusty) Pillow case yellowing, been used for ages Bed uneven, every time you move spring make sound. Soo poor. Loud sound system at night, I noticed around 12:00 am - 1.30 am. Report to reception and found that engineers check sounds for wedding tomorrow. Are you serious? Lots of cigarettes butt outside window. Reception night don't know what breakfast variety, asked me to go restaurant and ask what the menu. Good things is they have free shuttle pick up and drop at certain time. Might come back if they do renovations.
Nice and good. Every thing is going smoothly. Cozy hotel and nice location. Easy to find food nearby the hotel. The foods are also very delicious.. I love the live music in the Indigo restaurant, lounge & bar
We checked in almost midnight for a quick snooze and have to go early in the morning, the price is around 45$ for a superior room and king size bed, not bad for the size of the room and the bed. It fits 3 adults. But if cigarette smoke is your worst nightmare and this hotel will make it come true, welcome to the most smelliest hotel or perhaps sleaziest motel I've entered. We booked through a travel website and didn't really aware of the condition. Yes it have shuttle bus to airport and near the airport but we never knew this Aston could be so rotten. Entering the lobby just like entering a night club or cheap bar, smoky, smelly and seriously not fit for an Aston and the stars? It's a big joke. We regret booking the room the minute we enter the lobby. There are no smoking or non smoking room here, all are smoking arena and like a contest which floor smells the worst. The air circulation is a hazard here, too poor. The hotel need to open the windows or do better with purificating the air. The check in staff didn't even care, he said all of our rooms and floors are the same. Inside the room? The floor is dusty, no carpet, and the beddings smells like they were washed using cigarette buts, even the pillows and blankets are like infused with smoke. It's unberable. The toilet can not be flush, the aircon is so noisy and produce almost nothing, we are sweating even thou we use no blanket and the temp are set to the lowest, it was the worst. And there's this continuous smell from the aircon that so awful. If they dont bother clean things we can see like floors, they'll never pay attention the the cleanliness of the air con for sure. If you hate your lungs, do stay here. And bonus point, Aside from the liveless pillows, there this cockcroach scent here and there. Early in the morning without taking a shower using a powdery like towels, we ran checking out as fast as we could. Didn't bother to look back. Aside from the horror, I do notice the 2 bottled water, tea and coffee maker, very basic toiletries and tv that we never turned on. So it the hygienic issue and the quality of the air...which for me, it's the sole reasons of a hotel should be. Some say this is a poor run down hotel, for me, it's more like they gave up managing the hotel. In the morning, the ambiance is a bit brighter thanks to the sun, but the smell of the smoke? Still there!
I have been stayed there for a month, overall experience is good. Pros: - Good location, near eateries, mall, convenient stores and self service laundry shop - friendly hotel staff - comfortable bed and pillow - near airport (20 minutes taxi without traffic) - with buffet breakfast Cons: - many mosquitos in the room and surrounding, so please bring along mosquito repellant.
We chose this place because of its name, Aston, even there are lots of hotel closer to the airport. But we got really dissapointed of many things: 1. They didn't greet me or even try to offer me help to carry my suitcase. In fact, they just looked at me until I get to the reception desk. 2. The room is not clean, the light is low and the interior is bad, the floor has stain that looks like dirt. 3. The bathroom even worse, dirty and looks old. The towel is discusting, blood stain on it. They don't provide bar soap unless you ask for it. 4. Bad breakfast: not too various as any other Aston have, and the taste is worst. They don't deserve the label as Aston or 4 star hotel, even 3 star hotel. This is terrible. I went to many hotels but this one is the most dissapointing.
I stayed at this hotel for one night while I was on layover on my way to Bali. The staff was were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the breakfast a lot, but the Wi-Fi signal in my room was weak. The shuttle bus to the airport was a big plus!
managed to have immediate business around Daan Mogot, we decided to book this hotel. I've read TripAdvisor previously, and someone saying that there is NO NON-SMOKING ROOM in this hotel. We did not expect it was that bad. We book this hotel through Agoda in the same day we checked in. We've been into hotels across Indonesia and Asia, and we know that this hotel chain is quite good. From the arrival, do not expect there is hospitality like doorman say greeting to you. There was only one security who is busy helping you bringing your luggage and guarding the door. Do not expect a bright, airy, fresh, and homey hotel. When entering the reception at 17:00, the atmosphere was dark, damp, and have intense perfume smell. We were assigned to a room. When we were inside, cigarette smell was so intense like it's choking you. It seems that the room was previously occupied by a heavy smoker. After he left, the hotel does not allow the room to be aerated and they shut the door immediately. One hour there, we start to concern the healthy of our 9 months daughter. We called reception and they agreed to provide another room within 15 minutes. No call from reception until 15 minutes. I decided to call him and they said that the room is being prepared. We asked to see the room first. They brought us to the new room to see. They put a big, boxy, noisy thing they called it air purifier. It diffuses a weird odor to the entire room. OK, we chose to move. We get out for some business at 19:00 and returned at 22:00. The odor from the purifier starts to stick into every plastics things we brought. At 00:00, we pack our bags, check out, and looking for another hotel. Pros: - location. It is situated between Daan Mogot and the airport. It is also nearby a lot of hawker food stalls. Beware of non-halal foods there. - staff is quite attentive. They are reliable to serve when you need something. Cons: - air circulation inside the property is dreadful. - air quality in the neighborhood is not so good. Sorry Aston, we were disappointed.
I choose this hotel as they say as airport hotel. They provide the guests free transfer to airport show them as airport hotel. However, I feel the hotel is weak on their maintenance and cleanliness or something went wrong on the design. A bit dark: or probably because I was check-in in the evening? My room view was another wall, seems that another room? As they put a flier on massage, I was asking where is the spa but unfortunately they said it is only for man; which mean not good for me. When I booked. Breakfast was good on this hotel level. Front Office staff was great also the restaurant reception. This hotel is just okey for your transit before airport.
All floor and rooms are smoking area. Seems like they're targeting different market since so many amusement center or nightlife around. Even karaoke rooms on the same buildings. Been there just to drop our overseas guests... The bfast is just simple. My customers charged for a cup of cappuccino
