I won the hotel voucher from Alila Jakarta Photo Competition last year. I really enjoy my stay. I got the Executive Suites. Get 2 nights of accomodation, enjoy Executive Lounge and Breakfast really awesome.
Very good staf, very good rooms, very good restaurant, very good breakfast, excellent accomodation, good location in a street full of restaurants, good view of rooms, very good hous keeping, careful porters and guards.
I had a brief stay of 2 days in this property and loved every moment I spent there. Staff goes out of the way to make you comfortable, excellent flavorful Balinese food served by most humble Team and lots of wonderful memories.
Situated close to the older past of Jakarta, near the presidential palace, Monas monument, great shopping malls nearby and donw to earth local markets - all within reasonable reach Hotel is cosy, rooms are minimalist and comfortable, quite homely atmosphere - great place to stay
The location is superb, there's a lot of nice food around the hotel. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. This was my second time staying in this hotel and definitely recommended to all my friends and will come back to Alila for the next time.
The hotel location is very strategic. The room is quite clean but a bit noisy, and I guess our voices can also be heard by people outside our room. No fridge and hair-dryer provided inside our Deluxe room. The wifi quality is poor. The staffs are also friendly however their response is slow when we need help from them, such as when we need to borrow prayer mate (for moslem) or request for the additional drinking water in our 2nd day stay.
Glad that we were assigned room as requested - high floor, pool facing and good view of firework. Hotel staff at maindoor and reception are friendly and polite, greeting guests with their smiles. In particluar, I like to mention Christi who checked us in, is pleasant, helpful and speak good English. She is an asset to the hotel, and made good our unpleasantly long journey from airport to hotel due to heavy traffic and taxi driver not familiar with the hotel location.
+: 1. Location in central Jakarta without vehicle number limitation 2. Excellent staff services 3. Excellent breakfast quality 4. Renovation will start in February 2018 -: 1. Needed few hours to have cool room ( air con is old ) 2. Carpet in the room is old and stinky
Stayed here during NYE 2017. An excellent experience, a very good clean value for money Hotel. Staff are great facilities well maintained and would recommend the hotel very highly. Felt very well looked after for the 8 days we were there. Can not fault the location, right in the heart of Jakarta close to all the best things to see. Highly recommended.
This is my second stay at Alila property, the first one being at Alila Solo, which completely bowled me over with its huge pool, rooftop bar, and modern furnishings. Alila Jakarta is not as flashy. It is (much) older, plainer, and the pool is smaller. But for a relaxing weekend in one of Jakarta's prime locations, the hotel still has much to offer. And the simple, no-frills design in the rooms and hallways actually had that calming effect that eases your mood. I booked directly at the hotel's website, and a few days before the check-in date I got an email offer to bid for an upgrade to a suite. It's an interesting approach, and it turned out to be a good value (I think). The suite was really spacious, although the TV placement was a bit odd as you cannot see it directly from the bed (it's facing the sofa). I also found the remote for the DVD player not working properly. The suite came with Executive Lounge access that allows you to get "cocktail hour" from 6-8 pm, which for me worked out to be my dinner as the snacks and canapes were very good and fulfilling. In the morning you can also have breakfast here instead of downstairs, with a quieter atmosphere. The breakfast spread wasn't big, but all the items were well-made/selected. The hotel has 2 restaurants and a cafe, but one of the reasons many people stay here is to do a culinary exploration in the neighborhood, which is a recommendable thing to do. For example, the Pecenongan street right in front of the hotel comes alive at night with many food choices from end to end.
