Check in man very rude when we switched our payment method. He was sitting in lobby watching TV. Only one lady later behind the counter was pleasant. Even housekeeping had TV’s in while cleaning. No one seemed happy to be working there. It was nice to have our dog, room was clean but zero customer service!!!
Newly renovated, clean and smoke free property just off interstate 55 near Jackson, Mississippi. Dining options nearby. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It is also in a quiet location at the end of the access road so street noise is not distracting.
Been here many times in the past..wish they would fix the back door that has been messed up for 3 years now though.. Staff is sways friendly, and breakfast has a good selection too..it's convenient location is good too!
Had a strange experience Saturday, oct 28. We ended up at this hotel, the room was clean, the person behind the desk let us check in at 3 p.m. and was very nice. There was a party going on across the hall though - we didn't complain but someone did. The noise was ridiculous. Then the next morning we went down to breakfast - there was no one working that we could tell, there was, however a guy passed out in a chair in the hotel lobby. Breakfast was out, but there was no milk for the cereal. The gravy was in a crockpot boiling so I turned it to low. Only person around was the guy sleeping in the hotel lobby chair. THEN, after we ate and went to check out, the guy that was passed out was behind the counter.
Patel(I will not call him Mr.) is the most rude and arrogant person I have ever met. He berated the guest in front of everyone due to a problem Visa was having with all credit union customers. He cancelled their rooms without asking for another card. When we tried to tell him Visa was having a problem he stated it was the guests problem, not his. The hotel is covered in mold and mildew and the A/C is kept off with lobby doors open admitting flies and humidity. There was LIVE MOLD as big as a golf ball growing on the cabinet due to a leaking refrigerator and black mold on the walls and ceilings through out the hotel. This is a dangerous situation and needs to be treated immediately. They are aware of the problem as there was a dehumidifier running next to the elevator on the first floor. If you care about your health, DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. There are 5 other hotels on the same street. Choose one of those. You could not be treated worse I assure you.
Very helpful and nice staff. The rooms were very clean and stocked well. Beds were very comfortable and the linens were nice and fresh. The breakfast was very good. Nice pool to sit at and relax. Parking area was large.
I am a college student and traveled with my parents to evacuate from hurricane IRMA. We had 4 cats and a very long 16 hour drive to the La Quinta hotel on Soldier Colony Road in Canton, MS. We divided the cats and I got 3 because the other cat was not handling the trip well. I really enjoyed the room, and was read to go home 4 days later. Unfortunately, I left my laptop in the room. We had met a very nice lady named Payal (I hope I spelled it correctly), who took care of our housekeeping. She was very professional and worked hard for us. Most importantly, she found my laptop and gave it to the manager very quickly. We had left at 5AM, but my Dad got a phone call at 8AM, and the manager (Neal Patel) called to let us know about the laptop. Mr. Patel shipped it to us and I am very pleased with the courtesy and efficiency of Miss Payal, thank you! We all recommend this hotel to anyone, especially pet owners! Sincerely, Heather in room 306
Hot shower with great pressure. Management is pleasant and cooperative. Location is convenient and easy to find. Hot Free breakfast. Nice rooms. Lots of comfort. We've stayed here two different times in the last week, both going to and from the beach.
We had to evacuate from Florida for hurricane Irma (Sept. 9, 2017). My wife and I traveled with our adult daughter and 4 cats. We were very stressed, tired, worried and we had to drive 16 hours to get to the hotel. When we arrived, we were greeted by the Manager, Mr. Neal Patel. From the first acquaintance, he seemed genuinely concerned about our comfort and happiness at his hotel. The room was very good (bed, A/C, bathroom, TV, etc.) and seemed spacious even though we brought lots with us from the home we might not see again. Each day, Mr. Patel greeted us and asked if there was anything he could do to make our stay better. I travel for Microsoft and teach certification classes. I have not ever seen a manager who worked as hard as Mr. Patel for us, and other guests who spoke of the quality hotel to me. Thank you Mr. Patel ! In a very bad situation, your high quality hotel, and your personal service were greatly appreciated. I recommend that anyone would enjoy staying at your hotel, and we especially appreciated how very pet friendly you were. Thank you, signed Mr. Charles Moore (room 310).
The location is just off the interstate which is great. The staff was very nice and friendly. The hotel is nice and clean. Except for an odd smell in the hallways. There are some minor maintenance things that need taken care of. An incredibly annoying light in our hallway that flickered to the point of causing me a mild headache. When I told the desk attendant she said that it has been reported but I got the feeling that I wasn't the first and it hasn't been taken care of yet. I found some gum in my sheets that seems like it has been washed and dried but it was too late to do anything as it was the next day already. The breakfast was probably the worst I've had at a hotel. The scrambled eggs were cold and saturated with moisture. They keep all the hot items in a warmer that just causes the condensation to fall back into the food. The sausage survive this better but the biscuits were soggy through and through. The sausage gravy was the only good thing in the hot bar. Hard boiled eggs were over cooked and I had to go through several to find one that wasn't cracked. My yogurt was expired by two days. Overall if you need a place to stay I would stay here again but I would consider eating elsewhere.
