This Comfort Inn is located across from the Mississippi Fairgrounds, right off I-55 and within a mile of all the downtown attractions. There is nothing really to pan about this property, except it is run without attention to detail. Stairwells are dirty; no attendant at breakfast, which is nothing special; rooms are perfectly fine; front desk staff ranged from good to pretty bad. Fitness room OK but TV not hooked up, etc. At more than $100 per night with tax I'm not sure this is a great value. Bottom line: this place is OK, especially if you are interested in downtown Jackson but don't expect to be blown away by anything here.
Friendly staff, clean (room was cleaned every day), good range breakfast included, nice hot showers and comfy bed. Only suggestion: for environmental reasons perhaps have normal plates instead of disposable ones.
We checked in late and had no problems and the check out was really easy also. The room itself was a great room very clean and stocked with towels and coffee. The clerk was knowledgeable about the hotel and the surrounding areas. It was very close to the hospital we had to be at very early the next morning. We didn't get to visit the breakfast our daughter couldn't eat before her test so we didn't either. We will be staying there when we go back to Jackson.
We were traveling with 2 granddaughters who looked forward to swimming in the pool. There was only 2 chairs and 2 lounge chairs by pool..no tables or umbrellas. Temps in high 90s. Very uncomfortable. Breakfast room too small to accommodate the guests. Room and bathroom was really small.
The hotel was clean. Nice room that was quiet even though the hotel was quit full. The beds were comfortable and the shower head was great! Our room was clean however it had several patches on walls that were not painted. The truck parking is a separate lot that is hidden in the dark. DO NOT pull a vehicle with a trailer into the hotel lot! You will have to back it out the long curved lot to the street to get to the truck lot. WATCH leaving stuff in your car or on a luggage rack! There was a car that had stuff stolen from it the night we stayed here. Breakfast is your typical Choice hotel breakfast.
The staff was very friendly, the hotel was clean and close to Walmart, restaurants and things to do. They had free internet, flat screen tv, comfortable updated rooms, free breakfast with waffles and would recommend this location.
Great hotel, upmarket at a mid range price. Very large room with king bed & sofa. The bed was to die for with superb pillows. We slept for 9 hours - unheard of for us. Bathroom was very clean with thick towels. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was standard offering a hot American style offer all very fresh. Our only issue was they aircon was noisy, unable to leave on during the night, this would pose a problem in summer.
Place was nice. It was in a great location. Not far from the capital and other government buildings. Staff was friendly. Our only problem was with the wifi. It would not work. Other than that, no complaints. Great place for a great price. Highly recommend!
We were traveling from North Carolina to Texas recently. We decided to stop overnight at this hotel. It was clean and comfortable. There was a complimentary breakfast the next morning. We would recommend this hotel to other travelers.
This is a fairly new hotel with lots of potential, but it does not appear to be run very well. The room and bathroom were fairly clean and the beds were decent. However, the desk clerk was not very friendly and seemed put off that we were checking in late at night. Also, there were several strands of fly paper hanging from the ceiling at the front desk, which had not been changed out in a while judging by the number of dead flies stuck to the paper. We decided to skip the breakfast, so I can't comment on that. In sum, we had a decent stay for the price, but I will try to find something better next time I'm in Jackson.
