It is great hotel.I would recommend this hotel.Staff at the hotel great and special helpful was SEMIH who working on welcome Desk.He is extremelz polite and profesional.Thank zou SEMIH and zour coworker.Because of you I will be back.
Nicely situated close to Bosphore but with no view from the room, the hotel was certainly fashioned at some point but has lost its appeal. Plumbing is old, beds are not comfortable and on the top of it I have been very sick after a dîner at the lounge. Rooms are however quite but quite dark and you don't want to stay in them. Frankly I preferred the Swisshotel.
This hotel had very good service, and interesting (comfortable) rooms. There were some minor glitches, but it was clear that the staff was working hard to resolve them. The hotel's location is perfect: Quiet, upscale, beautiful, and not too tourist. Definitely recommend!
Quite nice hotel with good sized rooms. I got a room with a terrace which was nice. The staff is very helpful. The location could not be better. The only negative is the breakfast since the selection is not very big and the staff not well organized.
They have really good stuff which offered as an upgrade but it was kind of a ploy to offer US a room which was the first one from where the breakfast is setup and more importantly the party takes place. I was checking out and I heard the guy at the reception say the same words that he told me, to another customer who was unaware about the music and ruckus that they were going to create. I love the w brand and really wanted to stay here for my birthday but the hotel ruined it for me. Probably the general manager would come up with some explanation below this but nothing can change the fact that I wasn't able to get a peaceful night of sleep despite paying through my nose. Extremely disappointing. On the positive side the location was good and just stone throw away there was number of pubs and bars which was really happening.
Hotel has an excellent location close to everything you want to see and experienced in amazing city Istanbul. Our check in and out was a fast and efficient, staff at the front desk extremely polite and helpful. We got nice upgrade to our room which made our stay even more pleasant. I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends.
Nice hotel that you can expect in SPG family. Fashion, Classy, little bit Bling Bling maybe but with a friendly & helpful staff. Room is maybe too dark for elderly persons but bed is very comfortable. Breakfast could be more organized when the area is crowded. Very well located if you want to enjoy nightlife, take a boat to go on Asian side or visit Dolmabahce Palace.
Having stayed here a number of times over the years I had a 2 day stay in Istanbul and thought I was visiting an old funky friend. I was so wrong from Check in until check out a series of misadventures. Firstly, no power in the outlet for my laptop and phones. I needed to send reports, after two calls to the desk was informed the electrician was busy will be there soon 35 minutes. At breakfast almost inedible 8 waitstaff joking with each other no one serving. Finally as I was to leave 10pm for the airport so asked to have someone collect my luggage, instead 1 phone call from the desk asking what time I'm checking out tomorrow so couldn't sleep as the phone, the only phone is across the room so seniors beware. If you have a health problem you won't make the phone. Finally the new inexperienced duty manager comes to see me and listen to all of the above and on checkout offers 25% off the second day Strongly so strongly suggest as a lifetime platinum member that this hotel should be reviewed to see if it meets the standards.
I was extremely dissapointed to have stayed here on a short weekend trip, besides the location I dont think there is anything that is WoW about this hotel. The staff at check-in were very polite however everything is downhill from there, the hotel is more a nightclub than a hotel, we arrived very early and didn't get a room which was fine but at 3:30 when I called up to check if our room was ready, it still wasn't. It was supposed to be a spectacular room but besides the price, nothing was spectacular, I was debating between Shangri-la and W and I wish I chose Shangri-la. I knew there was no view here but there was this "Secret" Garden which was so secret, when we asked on Friday to visit it whilst we were waiting for our room, we were told it was closed, then on Saturday night instead of going out for drinks we thought we would have a few drinks at our Secret garden and was told when we arrived at the "Secret" garden that it was closed for a private party, it was nice of check in staff to NOT tell us that we should visit it on Friday night as Saturday night it would be closed. The rooms itself aren't great at all, more 3 star than 5 star. There is no bathroom for starters so echoing other peoples views, its dangerous and not nice at all. The sink is on one side, super low and then the shower is so claustrophobic that you don't really want to take a shower, at least have a proper bathroom ! The furniture is dilapitated and many things in our room were semi broken or falling apart, the switches, lamps not working, tables badly chipped and no free water ... really? you have to pay for water, I've never seen a hotel not offer a few bottles of water in the room. Normally 5 star hotels have razors, brushes and the usual toiletries but W insists you have to order these in from room service, I have no problem doing that but these are basics that should be in every hotel. Our outdoor cabana was very dirty and there was a mug from the previous persons stay, we came as a couple and it wasn't nice that we could see into the next cabana and vice versa, despite the great weather to sit outdoors, because of the way its laid out, its very noisy and everyone can see you. Breakfast is average, I would not pay for it and would go to Sutis just behind the hotel or a proper breakfast place. I found the concierge wasn't there half the time and the staff aren't very helpful to tell you what there is around the hotel until the last day. Everyone is very happy doing their own thing. Honestly was very disappointed as for my budget that I paid here, I am sure I would have got better hotels and service. I wouldn't stay here until they renovate the rooms and improve the overall WoW factor they claim to have.
The hotel has an excellent location .. needs to change the furniture in the rooms .. The rooms have mosquitoes .. More attention to clean in the rooms.. the staff some of them smiled and the others no special the one who is at the par with blond hair
