Worst experience ever! Never stay here! The floor boards were broken. The ac and lights would turn off for hours. Extremely rude staff. We travelled with family and all of us had a very bad experience

Do not stay period.

We had an extremely bad experience with our stay here. First the quality of the place is extremely bad. The floor boards are coming up, the walls has paint coming off and we had our one year old daughter in this place. I would highly recommend staying somewhere else especially if you are going with family. Also the place is at the end of an extremely congested road that required A lot of walking to get to the main attractions. We tried to share our concerns and disappointment with the management and they were extremely rude. Extreme lack of understanding and not willing to move us to a diff room.

Nice hotel and good location

Our flight was delayed and we did not reach the hoteluntil the early hours. The staff was there to receive us and took us straight to our room so we could rest after a very long day travelling. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel is located within walking distance of all the main tourist attractions. Would happily stay here again.

The staff are friendly, but they don't speak English, or they don't want to. the room was dirty, the floors are filthy, you don't want to walk barefoot on it. the bed sheets had visible stains on them and room sevice did not tidy-up the room until we asked them to. The wall paper was peeling off. they had a window between the bath room and the master bed and the office style curtain there barley conceals anything. We asked for a seaside view and got one with a back yard view which is filthy, full of broken furniture and garbage. The bathroom had visible rust on the heater and it did not work. they did not refill our tea and coffee and did not provide water. The microwave in the room was melted and the TV was missing. The WIFI provided reminds me of dialup speeds it is so slow. Break fast is mediocre at best and the food was not fresh. The dining area is small and the staff were having breakfast there with the guest (they cooked their own food) the views are ok from there. My advice is to avoid at all costs.

Staff were nice but the room and breakfast was disappointing. I decided to pay extra for a better room but was shocked that the garden area was hideous and did not look safe to go into. The room has alot of broken features like the shower holder and window frames as well as the bathroom air vent being held of by sticky tape. The towel rail was very rusty and there was ripped off wallpaper exposing dirty walls. The floors in the room were very dirty causing us to have very dirty feet/socks especially with a toddler that I could not always keep off the floor. The breakfast was literally salads, salamis, tiny hard bread, or cereal, there were no pastries or anything really apetizing.

This hotel is less than five minutes from the blue mosque but was very hard to find on foot. The room was very comfortable, a little noisy at night from reception staff next door. Everyone very helpful - we stayed three nihts and would recommend as a good budget hotel. Especial thanks to Batu for assistance with directions.

Timothy Stockton stay at the Mangana Konak

When we arrived at the Mangana Konak we were greeted with a map of the area and a wifi password, the concierge said if there anything that he could help us with Reservation, Car service, Turkish bath, Tours etc please ask. I cant convey how nice everyone was, the room was cleaned daily and breakfast was excellent with a wonderful view, we left a tip for the person who prepared breakfast, she knocked on our door and said sir this a tip free Hotel. Mainly we check out and when we arrived at the airport to find that our flight was canceled and with notice we returned back to the hotel at midnight and they accommodated for two more night until we reschedule our flight. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE MANGANA KONAK HOTEL, THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!!

Great location, quiet, clean, friendly

We stayed here for 10 nights. Our room was like an apartment and clean and tidy every day. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the big breakfast spread and used the roof-top terrace several evenings. A few minutes walk to great food and main attractions.

Sufficient but disappointing

The hotel is poorly maintained and the photos make it appear better and bigger than it is. Not 1 Taxi driver knew the hotel or the street in which the hotel is located. Each time we took a taxi back to the hotel we had to direct him if he could speak English, otherwise he had to call the hotel for directions. Breakfast was simple to the extreme but edible and filling. There are no facilities to even buy a soft drink. The bar fridge was empty even though it had a stock and price list stuck to the front. The front desk staff were great, very helpful and assisting.

Nice hotel close to Sultanahmet top attractions.

Good location only 8 mins walk from the top attractions. Old city is a wonderful place to stay if you want to see history and culture. Very touristy. Good transport links to other parts of Istanbul.
