Doubletree by Hilton Istanbul Moda5.0 out of 5.0

Pros: - Bathroom amenities: Soap bar, body lotion, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, vanity kit, shoe sponge, shoe horn, tissues, shower cap, slippers, toothbrush/paste, good quality hairdryer. - In-room iron, built-in international power plug, large safe & full length mirror. - Free in-room WiFi (average speed of 5Mbps). - Anti-mist bathroom mirror and shower with excellent water pressure. Cons: - Location is not so central to the main tourist sites but there is both a metro stop and ferry terminal only 3 minutes walk so you can arrive to most places within 45 minutes to one hour (the ferry trip was inspiring). The pay off of this distance is an absolutely spectacular view of the sea with floor to ceiling windows! - Many of the staff only speak a few words of english (if at all). Understandably and respectfully, we are not in a native English speaking country but one would assume that an international chain hotel such as a Hilton would be an exception. - Breakfast staff could be a bit more pro-active. Most days, ran out of juice, milk or bowls by 9.00am (breakfast finishes at 10.30am). FYI, Laundry Costs (same day service, but limited service on Sundays or public holidays) - Trousers: TL28-32 - Shirt: TL23-25 - Underwear: TL15 - Socks: TL8 - Jacket: TL38 - Suit (2 piece): TL55
I have stayed at this property about three times during my visit to Istanbul along with several other Hilton properties. The Doubletree really stands out. The staff goes out of their way to look after guests. Early check-in, late check-out was not a problem. They even sent a tailor to my room to alter my newly acquired suit. The executive lounge was convenient in order to schedule meetings with clients (although an age restriction might be better, as loud toddlers made it difficult to converse at times). The location is within walking distance of the ferry terminal. The rooms are spacious and those overlooking the Bosphorous are very nice. The amenities for a Diamond Member are also quite generous. I'd recommend this hotel highly to those visiting the city.
I recently stayed at this hotel while on business in Istanbul. The staff are very professional, efficient and attentive. The hotel is situated in the Kadikoy neighborhood which is a really fun place to be with tons of restaurants, Pubs, bars and shops. The hotel is also located just across from the ferry terminal which you can just grab and go to the European side to see the old town. The rooms are well appointed and breakfast has an excellent selection. Definitely recommend this hotel and will be back in the near future.
Room is nice and clean. Staff is pleasant, and most speak english. Nice view of the sea from my room anyway. Electrical outlet at desk and in bathroom has multicountry plug fixture, which is nice if you have forgotten an adapter. Breakfast area is undergoing renovations currently. So they have setup breakfast on a subterranean level. It works, but not quite so nice and no kitchen to make special orders , like omelets, at hand. Hotel is convenient to a large number of restaurants, bars, mass transit, and the ferries. Surely a place I would return to, even with the current renovations occuring. This is currently low season, so understandable they are doing the works now.
Undoubtedly one of the best locations in whole of Istanbul, right next to the sea, and very close to the metro station. The place also has some great food outlets in the vicinity and always has a vibrant night life.
Excellent location on Asian side of Istanbul. Short walk to either Kadiköy Metro stop or ferry port to Karakoy or Eminonu making hopping over to European side quick & painless. The Kadiköy bus terminus is about 7 mins walk from the Hilton Moda. Istanbul cabbies are notoriously thieving gits and you'll find yourself in lovely places like Bayrampaşa or Aksaray instead of your intended location if you take cabs; proximity to public transport is essential. The Hilton is located in the Moda district which is as good as it gets on the Asian side. Hotel staff are extremely helpful and the amenities are superlative. Being a New Yorker, only think that could have been improved was the addition of a Nespresso machine in the room; coffee matters ;-) -Terrence Houlahan
I have stayed at this hotel for a 2 day conference in Istanbul and I can easily say that if you are supposed to be on the Anatolian side of the city- there is no place better than this, with all the luxury, great service, delicious breakfast and excellent location. It is a short walk away from Kadıkoy's main centre- where all the restaurants etc are and in walking distance to public transport and boat piers. If the weather permits, with a short walk you can reach Moda a very quaint but elegant neighborhood by the sea. The rooms are very spacious -spotless. The breakfast has lots of variety and very delcious, there is always fresh coffee to take away-free. So overall, I can say that this is one of the best options on the Anatolian side of Istanbul.
İ went for proposal. Everyone was very helpful about it. Dinner is great at restaurant (360 east terrace restaurant ) Breakfast is good. Room cleaning is great. Online check-in is very useful. Room view is one of the best.
This is the only 5 star hotel in the Moda area and it's an excellent choice: very comfortable and excellent location. All you'd expect from a 5 star hotel with the plus of very helpful and friendly personnel
The hotel is a beautiful modern building in the Asian side of Istanbul . The rooms are extremely chic , stylish , clean and beautiful . We were given exactly the room we had asked for with a sea view . The place to get ferries to the European side is a short walk from the hotel . The staff are extremely nice and helpful specially 2 young gentlemen who were quite helpful , Suleiman and Sabuhi who gave us guidelines how to get around in the area . Room service was excellent and we felt like we are at home . Food was good quality , chefs were very friendly and welcoming . Staff in the reception also were very friendly and professional . I can't wait to go back there and I can't thank all of them enough that made our stay such a memorable one . A big thank you to all .
