This is an OK business hotel, but it is let down by the very poor staff who lack many basic skills. Should I really need to ask for a teaspoon five days running, to the same waiting staff? Should a dirty empty coffee mug be left in my room for three days? Shouldn’t the broken light fittings be repaired? Having said that, the staff are polite and trying their best, but they obviously haven’t got a clue

I stayed at Point Hotel Barbaros for 3 nights in January 2018 due to a business trip and I thought it was a nice hotel, good room and great breakfast at the top floor. I also managed to go you the fittness center in the basement, which was really great.

I find the location great. Highway, Bhosphorus Bridge to go Asian Side, Ortaköy, Besiktas, and even shopping malls like Zorlu, AKmerkez, Kanyon, as well as Metro to reach Taksim.. quite easy to go. The hotel and staff are nice, friendly. Definitely not a 5 star hotel if I compare with other 5 star hotels in Istanbul, however still a good hotel with price benefit ratio is definitely higher than other hotels. The negatives: - The room cleaning service shall be definitely improved. I was not happy with how the room had been prepared/cleaned. Furthermore, every night I had to call and ask for the water bottles, as they were never refreshed. - The game center is the highlight of the hotel, especially if you are travelling with the kids. HOWEVER; why is that always reserved for external events, and hotel guests are not allowed to enter .. THIS IS STUPID !!!!. 5 nights, and 4 of them were book until late night due to company events... - The breakfast is average, and staff working in the breakfast area must be warned. They are there, yes, but they are not doing anything... no coffee service, no cleaning the table if somebody before you leaves, you have to ask for everything !!

Has a great location but reaching the place one has to pass through heavy traffic along the way as many crowded tourist attractions fall along the road. Rooms are ok...facilities could have been better for the price though. Seems a old hotel. Dont miss a photo opportunity of the bhosphorous bridge from the rooftop, especially the night view. Restaurant is not so great, if you are a single or couple be prepared to wait for tables at breakfast time, as there are only big round tables and very limited small tables for couples.

Good as a business base but not for tourists. Generally lacking atmosphere and bar is always almost empty. Not much to see or do in walking distance. Limited restaurants or bars nearby Bedrooms are comfortable and well equipped, modern but lacking in character. Warmest reception is is the lift video girl!

I went this hotel for a Congress and it was excellent. Its location is near tube station (Gayrettepe). It has good staffs. Food and landscape (Bosporus). I didn’t use rooms but other things were very good.

A good located 5 star hotel. Showing signs of weariness. Room service is faulty. They constantly forget to replace missing or used items. Congress facilities are ok for small meetings. The piola pizza restaurant inside is quite satisfying but the main problem is having dinner on the 18th floor. We waited for half an hour to get a menu and drinks, and the young waiter that tried to help us at the end was sent to another table immediately. When we asked why we are not being served (there is only one group snd a table full), the head told us that we had to wait for our turn to be served and we did not have any reservatiion. Actually the night before we had asked if we needed any reservation and they told us that there was no need for that. This was one of the most disasterous exeperiences we had in Istanbul. The head waiter was very rude. We left the table and complained to the hotel. We received a lot of excuses but the attitude seems not to be curable. Try piola if you are hungry, never make the mistake we did.

we joined a meeting in one of the ballrooms and had lunch on 18th floor restaurant. Chairs in the restaurant were dirty, lack of tea cups in the ballroom, no cleaning during breaks, low food quality at the restaurant and bad service overall. We instructed our PR dept not to organize any meetings at this Hotel anymore

Two years ago when I arrived at this hall, I stayed for five days and was a good hotel, but this time there were many problems, especially breakfast and room service. For example, there was no spoon for breakfast or there was no clean table, and often it was not Portugal's water. Or the specialty of jams was not often. We booked a three-person room, but we saw two beds, we went to the reception, and then added a non-quality bed that was very rigid and bad, even for that extra bed, pillows, and also a cup and glass cabinet Which washed out to rinse again, and we should have called several times.

Business visit so no need to go to the centre of the city. Lobby staff friendly and helpful. Room modern style and comfortable. Good shower which is good for me. Italian restaurant in lobby very good. Many restaurants in the local area. The big let down for me was breakfast. Staff every morning were miserable. No smiles!!!! Breakfast items not being replenished. Overall a good hotel for the money
