We were here in the beginning of November 2017. The hotel is very nice, its clean and staff is very kind and helpful. Rooms are also clean and very comfortable. We took double room 205 which was on the corner of the building and it was very spacious and nice. Bathrooms are very clean and they change towels every day. It is centrally located, only few minute from the Beyazit Mosque and 10 minutes from Grand Bazaar. Breakfast was ok, but not great. In general it is a good hotel to stay in for people that are interested in doing sightseeing and some shopping. Although I must say, wifi is VERY VERY POOR, they should do something with that. Still I would highly recommended it for staying in all other aspects.
The staff are incredibly helpful. The location is perfect. The buffet is delicious and the rooms are perfect. I have stayed here twice and will continue to choose this as my favourite hotel. The price is reasonable and it is really aplace you can feel at home and pampered. I highly recommend it.
Average hotel, staff on reception desk not so friendly, room and location is good though, breakfast was average, recommended for one night stay. Most annoying is the WiFi, extremely slow, dropped frequently.
We loved staying in the Hotel Momento. Close enough to walk safely to all the nearby tourist attractions like Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Not very big and lacks a proper place to put a suitcase. The tv is very Turkish and would like to be able to watch CNN and an English movie or some sports. The staff was super friendly. The breakfast was so big, you could eat enough to last the day. Breakfast until 10am and after very late nights we almost missed it. Will come back to Hotel Momento if I can. Istanbul is of course MAGIC as always.
it is very good clean and confortable hotel..guest relations and careness high level.. also good rates...exactly in center of sultanahmet old city..still,, i am sending my many clients to this hotel for istanbul accomodations or visits...
Momento Hotel is the best hotel i have stayed there 6 times everything is good & the whole staff is very cooperative, friendly very good. I know some name Mr. Mostafa, Ms. Fidan Mr. Mahmet. rest whole staff. God bless everyone.
This hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to the Grand Bazaar and close to public transport and restaurants. Upon arriving @ 5.30am we were greeted by reception and straight away made to feel very welcome. Although our rooms were not ready, we were told to help ourselves to coffee and buffet breakfast. Our rooms were quite large with views of the surrounding streets. Plenty to fill in our time between tours. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone that is looking for somewhere centrally located in Istanbul.
This hotel was recommended to me by my travel agent. I made sure to check reviews on TripAdvisor. Most of them were 4 star plus so I went ahead anyway. PROS 1 The location of the hotel is good. it's very close to the Tram Station "Beyazit". You can use the Tram station to commute to anywhere in Istanbul. Just 2 stops away is SultanAhmet which is a heavy tourist area. Also, walking distance to Grand Bazaaar. 2 Rooms are small but beautiful. We also had a verandah area but that was of no use in the April cold. Pic attached. 3 We requested some milk to be kept for tea which was provided to us at no extra charge. CONS 1 Hotel service is not that great. Esp for Indian travelers who are used to great Indian service hospitality. I communicated with this guy via email regarding my arrival and when I actually reached the Hotel, he was stone cold. Not even a smile. Among all their staff only two of the stewards actually smiled and asked if I required anything. Most of the others just went about their jobs. 2 Although location of the hotel is good, the way to the tram Station is a steep climb and not recommended for Older people or big (Indian) families. 3 The breakfast buffet of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. I understand it's going to be Turkish menu and I am a non-vegetarian but there is not much of choice. They don't have any names on the dishes. Even If I liked some of them(which I did), I would want to remember their names right?!! 4 The hotel charges you for any extra water bottles. They keep 2 initially and that's it. I learnt that it's a European thing to charge for any extra bottles. I recommend that you go and and buy it from the general store just outside the hotel. Not even 5 steps away. Very cost effective. I would not recommend the hotel especially to older travellers and big families with kids. If you are a backpacker or solo or a newly married couple or a young couple, this might be the place for you.
It's a decent size hotel, centrally located in the Old city. 5min walk to public transport (tram, bus etc). 10min from grand bazaar. Decent service from service, language limited to Turkish. Smaller details like tea, coffee, water in the room is something at a cost. Rooms are small. Breakfast decent - but limited.
This hotel is a great value. The rooms are nicely appointed, up-to-date, and kept clean. The breakfast is good quality and quite expansive. The staff is friendly and helpful. We also ate two dinners, and they were quite good.
